I have not yet done a lot of testing for this Mac Mini extension, but thus far results are promising. I installed a Samsung 990 Exo Plus, 2T hard drive and while I haven't done any performance tests yet, it seems to be working as expected. The HDMI connection is also working fine on my dual-monitor setup.One item to note is that the Mini sits on top of this custom dock, and while the fit is excellent, there's nothing which keeps it in place. I didn't deduct any stars for that, but it does get misaligned fairly easily if you start messing with cables (my setup has a LOT of cables snaking back and forth). When lined up correctly it looks great, like it's part of the Mini.

The RayCue M4Mac Mini hub is a great solution allowing the user to expand the range of ports available. The hub has two USB-A ports on the front and one on the rear. There us one USB-C on the front and two on the rear. However, one is used to connect the hub to the Mac Mini and the other is for charging only. On the front there are SD and a micro SD card readers. On the rear is an HDMI 2.0 port and an audio jack. Lastly, there is an internal NVMe card port supporting up to 8TB. The hub is made of Aluminum and well made and looking good while complimenting the Mac Mini. All in all, RayCue’s offering is the best on the market in my opinion.

Installed an SSD and connected it my M4 Mac Mini. Everything initially worked (except the HDMI port), but developed issues within in a hour. The drive I installed wouldn't appear, so I removed it, put it back in it's external case and found that it had been corrupted and can't be repaired.I had very high hopes for this hub as it looks great in the ad, but it's an absolute disaster. You'd be wise to think twice before ordering it.

I love my new M4 Mac mini, but it does lack in ports and to upgrade the internal storage is expensive. This addition easily sits under the Mac, has a jumper cable (short usb c) in the back and adds a bunch of new ports. This by itself is fine, but the ability to add an NVMe chip as well, that's a game changer. And for the price, you can't go wrong. This and a 2TB NVMe chip cost around $200 and is totally worth it.

includes a usb c to usb c cable for connecting to your macmini and a usb c to a cable for power, but it does not include a power brick, which is listed as needing to be 5v@3A which is fairly uncommon. I have a [email protected] adapter and it works but if you pile on too many high power devices it struggles. Ordering a 3A power adapter to see if it clears that up. The device is otherwise pretty good. the packaging is fantastic it comes in like a book type package with nice printing on the outside of the box. Inside the dock and accessories are held in a closed cell foam insert. It includes screwdrivers for installing an NVME drive which works great, and an extra m2 screw. This dock uses an interesting type of screw instead of a stand off that goes into the board and a screw that pinches the drive between the screw and standoff, the screw has a notch in it for the ssd to sit in, you insert the screw into the ssd or ssd into the screw and then just screw it in.

Seems to be a great device. Very nice fit & finish. The only criticism I would make is that it would be nice if the base locked in with the Mac mini body.

Unfortunately, this item has some flaws. The 3.5mm audio jack buzzes and distorts and is totally useless. Also the SD card reader doesn't work. I have reached out to the Company to see what they want to do before I returning the item.Update: No response from the company and I am returning it to Amazon for something else.
