I read the reviews. I read the one star reviews. I ordered it anyway. It works really well; it does what it says it will do. It is not hard to use; you just have to figure it out. I recommend this product. The only thing I would say against it is that the combs that come with it are a bit flimsy. I needed larger ones anyway and had already ordered them. They are a little better quality and do just fine. Don't let operator error keep you from buying this. It's not for big jobs...but it does what the description says.

Works great although it's a bit of trick to work the binder because the combs were at their capacity for 57 pages. It's also easier to punch less than 10 pages at a time although the max capacity is for a little more. It's also a good idea to punch your 1st sheet separately so you can get the adjustment centered. If you want all your pages to line up straight, punch them all facing the same way. When assembling the comb, cut it to the desired length beforehand to avoid cutting too short after assembly.

Great machine, just know its limitations and don't expect to punch through 120 sheets at once. As long as you temper your expectations and are willing to break up your workload you'll be ok. I use this primarily to punch small workbooks, max 30 pages. And while using a heavier weight paper this sometimes struggles and requires a lot of pressure. The pluses are it gets the job done, has great adjustability for different layouts, and has a nice quality weight feel. I also like the handle can be removed and easily assembled when not in use. I would not consider this a Pro machine, but more of a good casual consumer as I am. If you need to use this everyday I would spend the money and get a pro setup.

Missed the return window so just gonna be mad instead. Came missing pieces. Never could attach the dial that's supposed to adjust the wire binding size. I was able to use it a handful of times until I tried to punch a piece of chipboard (glorified cardboard). I could feel the handle flexing as I pushed. Cheap construction. Not worth the money I wasted on it

Well-made with almost no plastic parts. The rear panel is a removable tray which collects cut paper chads for disposal in a wastebasket. I have been writing a lot of material for an adventure role-playing game, and comb-binding it as separate booklets seemed an efficient, economical way to accomplish this at home. The kit comes with a box of 100 3/8-inch (10mm) diameter PVC plastic comb spines.

It's impossible to use this machine, It cuts very rough edges and it doesn't line up paper correctly so the holes get crooked or leaves an uneven space on the edges of the paper. There is a reason that this machine is cheap.

I LOVE this machine. I will say that I don't feel I can hole punch 12 sheets. I find 6 is really good, but 8 starts to get hard. I worry about breaking the teeth inside, so I stick to 6. But it's fantastic. And adding the combs afterwards is nice and easy too. I have to use three different sized combs for the project I'm working on, and it's handling them all beautifully. I am only working on up to .75 inches, but I'm guessing larger will do well as well as the spokes on top are quite tall. The collection drawer underneath is very easy to empty. All three margins for punching work very well. The cardboard oil sheet to use before you use the machine is easy to use with clear instructions. I love that it has a carry handle, and that the pressing handle is removable for easier storage. I would play around with your margins on a spare sheet first. I needed to do A5, and the margins noted weren't right. I have it set exactly perfect now.

Keep the number of sheets below the maximum number when punching the holes and the punch works fine. The sheet thickness is not specified and I use 80 gsm paper. I punched the 2 covers (plastic front and card back) as an item, then about 8 sheets at a time. The binding works very well. The handle operates the punch in the down direction and the binder in the opposite position. Very happy with my purchase.
