It has been working great. The speeds are stable and consistent across all ports. Even my devices that are only 1Gb get right up to their full rated speed without any drops or throttling. The 2.5Gb ports deliver excellent performance for file transfers and gaming with very low latency. It's exactly what I needed for a reliable multi-gig backbone without breaking the bank. Physically, the switch is very light and made of plastic, but it's a basic, no frills design that gets the job done. It’s compact and easy to wall mount or tuck away on a desk shelf if you want to keep it out of sight. Its fanless so means it runs completely silent, which is a big plus for something that runs 24/7. Basically this is a very affordable unit that simply does what you need it to do, plug and play, no configuration required. I’ve had zero connectivity issues since installing the replacement. Speaking of which, I did have a small issue with my initial unit. I reached out to BrosTrend customer service and they were fantastic, quick communication and they shipped out a replacement unit within a day no fuss. That level of support is rare and really made the whole experience positive. I recently purchased the BrosTrend 5-Port 2.5Gb Ethernet Switch to upgrade my home network setup. While I couldn’t test the full 2.5Gb speed capabilities due to my current hardware limitations, the switch has impressed me in other areas. Setup was incredibly easy true to its plug-and-play promise. Within minutes, I had connected my Xbox and PC, all of which worked seamlessly without any additional configuration. The fanless design is another big plus, keeping the operation silent, which is ideal for a home office or living room setup. The device feels well-built despite its lightweight plastic casing, and its compact size makes it easy to place on a desk or wall-mount. Even with my current 150Mbps internet, the switch maintained stable and reliable connectivity across all devices. I’ve experienced no drops or slowdowns in performance. Cheap, light, not particularly fancy looking and not amazing quality - but for the price, it’s a solid set up. No configuration, no port management - but be real for most home setups and use cases this switches your connection into multiple super fast lines that enable you to do most home networking at awesome speeds. It’s compact and low power, don’t need to be techy to set it up - I just sit it in a little area near my router and have it wired to 2 mesh nodes in the house, perfect really.

Upgraded my fibre connection to 2.5Gb. This is small and low power. Good price and does the job easily. Using CAT5 from 8p switch then same to new router. Some older gear is 1Gb capable only, no issues, so far

Bad bits first - it’s made of plastic, it feels plasticky as a result, in practical terms this might mean some people need to think whether this is practical for the location they intend to put the switch, if there’s any chance of damage, do think carefully about placing this as it won’t take much to crack. The good bits - everything else! I’ve got the 8 port and 5 port version of these, as you’d expect they work perfectly well together and my 50 device network is working flawlessly, packet loss is non existent, speed tests ran from wired clients are consistent and rock solid, pings are perfect (we have many gamers at home) I’m incredibly focused on network performance and would have noticed quickly if they had anything but a positive impact. In fact I’d go as far to say they’ve been more stable than the 1Gbe TP Links they replaced, which had various built in features that seemed to cause more issues than anything else. Both switches are cool to the touch, ones housed in a closed area with little air flow. Overall I’m really pleased with these and so glad I didn’t fork out £100+ for the over priced netgear or tplink 2.5gbe switches. Buy with confidence!

I was having drops in my home network, and after some tinkering i realized that my older 2.5 switch was the the problem and it had to be replaced. I needed something moderately priced, and after looking i found this switch on amazon. i never heard of the company, but the price and the reviews encouraged me to buy this switch. now, it's been a week since i got this switch and used it and I'm happy to report that it's working well. I've got all ports occupied and transferred some files from my NAS to my PC and I got the full speed of advertised 2.5GB speed. Another comforting point is that this network switch doesn't get as hot as my previous one. hopefully this is a good sign that it'll last longer.

Great Ethernet switch that supports 2.5G bandwidth. Build quality is great for its modest price. I was happy with this switch so much so that I not long after purchased the 8 port version (2.5G) for our living room system (3 game console, Apple TV 4K and a Sonos soundbar). Works exactly as intended. Highly recommended!
