Pod & Grounds, XL Coffee Maker, K-Cup Compatible, Stone, PB055AST

I gotta say, this rivals Keurig and makes a quick and lovely cup of coffee. I've been a coffee drinker all of my life and since I'm old, I started out with a percolator. Eventually Bunn entered the home coffee maker market and I was hooked. Because it had a reservoir to keep water hot and ready to brew at the touch of a button, I got my coffee much faster. Years later, someone gifted me my first Keurig and that was it. I became a single serve coffee maker fanatic. There was nothing faster and no more burnt or stale coffee. Yes, yes - a French press makes the finest cup of coffee but I do not wake up in any condition to use a French press. I need coffee and I need it fast. So Keurig has dominated the single serve arena for quite some time. I have had a number of Keurigs over the years, as well as Nespresso machines and a few espresso machines. In fact, I currently have a delightful Nespresso Vertuo machine that I adore but I don't use heavily because of the very high cost of capsules and the relatively small number of decaf offerings. My Keurig was the heavy hitter until it recently began to just turn off randomly in the middle of brewing a cup of coffee. When searching for a replacement, I happened upon this machine by Ninja. I LOVE Ninja appliances! I have their vacuums, blenders, ice cream makers, a drip coffee maker, and an amazing air fryer with 2 baskets so I was intrigued. This one did offer a 12oz cup size and a rich coffee setting like my recently defunct Keurig so I decided to order. I chose the XL for the larger water reservoir (68oz), although it's still not as large as my Keurig had. When it arrived the next day, I was excited to get brewing but I did take the time to check out all the features (and there are quite a few.) First to mention is that you can use standard K-cups and brew a 6, 8, 10, or 12oz cup of coffee. But the surprising feature is that you can brew ground coffee and select a 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 18 or 24oz cup size! You will need to drop in the permanent filter (which stores neatly in a compartment on the side of the machine) but you can fill up a travel mug this way. Wonderful! There is also an Over Ice setting to brew an iced coffee and a Specialty Coffee setting that brews an intense, 4oz, cup of coffee that is similar to espresso in strength and is good for recipes that call for strong brewed coffee. Also, there is a swing out milk frother that's fun. It doesn't heat - only froths - but it's still quite handy and the wand twists off easily for rinsing under the tap. Finally, there is a little cup platform that can be moved up and down, depending upon the size of your cup. I don't move mine because I just use huge mugs. Things I don't like as much are that there is no water filter. I have very hard water in my city, which is death to coffee makers. I have an in-line water filter at my sink but I liked the additional filter on my Keurig so I didn't have to descale quite as often. There is also no option to set the brewing temperature. My husband loves very, very hot coffee so he's noticed this. What I love is that I can get a 12oz cup of coffee on the Rich setting that is wonderful and flavorful and faster that my Keurig ever did, even when it was new. I also like that it's narrower so takes up less, precious, counter space. The buttons on the top are simple to toggle through and select the setting you need. It's just a great little machine that I am using multiple times a day as there are 4 coffee drinkers in the house. I will update should it fail prematurely but so far, I think the coffee maker really suits me.

We love this coffee maker. Use it multiple times a day. We can have all types of flavors from the store or use our little plastic insert when we're just using a bag we bought. No waste and no cold coffee.

I have owned TWO of this exact coffee maker. The first one lasted 15 months and literally blew coffee ground from the pod out the top and all over my tile wall and up into the under cabinet lights in my kitchen last week. My son was standing there and hot coffee grounds blew onto his arms and face hot enough we had to get burn cream. So...I bought a new one, same pot, thinking it was a malfunction that had developed in the one I had purchased 15 months before. WRONG! The new pot lasted for three cups of coffee and I was making coffee with a coffee pod and I saw the top "pop" open and steam came pouring out of the area where the pod fits to make coffee. Ground wet all over the pot internally and down the outside of the pot and onto the kitchen counter. I feel blessed that I was not burned. The pods I have been using are the McDonald's pods; however, I have used other brands. With both pots I had to place a strainer over the top of the cup to keep grounds from getting into the coffee every time I made coffee but I kept the first pot anyway as one could also make regular ground coffee with it. Oh...and I have ensured that the pods were pressed firmly into the crevice for them so that I head the popping sound when the hole was punched into the bottom of the pod so I know it wasn't that the pod was incorrectly installed. These coffee pots are DANGEROUS. I wish it were different as I liked the features but not enough to ever purchase another Ninja coffee pot of any kind.

The best the best the best!!! I went to Starbucks 3 times a day for 13 years straight Everyday. We had countless of coffee machines but none of them would do it for me. Until I purchased this one. The fact that I can use both ground coffee and k cups is the most amazing thing ever. Let’s just say since I bought this machine I haven’t been to Starbucks at all! I no longer have to spend $300 a month on Starbucks!! Who knew such an affordable machine can be so incredible. When I tell you ninja thought of everything I MEAN IT! it has a frother or attached to it to froth what ever creamer, milk or plant based milk you want! Everything is such an easy clean. My husband thought I was crazy when I ordered this now he won’t use anything else but this machine !!! We have a Keurig and we have a Nespresso but nothing beats this ninja coffee machines!! I love it so much I might take it on vacation with me next month. I can’t imagine not having this perfect of a cup of iced coffee every day on vacay! Hubby is a fan of hot coffee and I love iced and this machine does it all! Highly recommend! Even my mother fell in love and asked me to order her one for her home. The super slim design fits any and all spaces seamlessly and beautifully. Does not look cluttered on the counter I love it! The water reservoir fits 68oz of water allowing us not to have to refill it to often.

This was the best purchase this year for me! My Keurig was just failing! I hated to let it go, but it was time! I have replaced most of my kitchen items with Ninja products. So I decided to give the coffee maker a try! Wow! The fact that I can choose my strength of my coffee with a coffee pod is amazing! I love rich strong coffee! The Ninja did not disappoint! The temperature is consistent! The size is correct. I can’t tell you why? But this coffee maker uses less water than my Keurig! The frother on the side is great! It does what it is supposed to do! Very handy! It brews a cup in about 2 minutes from hitting the brew button! I really recommend this coffee maker! I look forward to having my 1 cup a day! The smell of the rich coffee brewing smells great and tastes delicious!

An excellent product. I’ve been using it for a long time; it works with both ground coffee and K-Cup pods. It reaches a high enough temperature to preserve the coffee's aroma, is stable and durable, and offers various options—such as adjustable brewing times and water volumes. These are all really great features.It is somewhat difficult to clean, but it is indeed quite durable.The entire unit is made of plastic.

This is a well engineered machine. It has storage for its accessories, is very compact, and actually makes coffee at closer to the proper temperature. I measured about 180 degrees whereas my Kurig was 155. This definitely makes for better quality and smoother tasting coffee. This machine does make better coffee than a Kurig machine. However, it Does Not make true espresso or cappuccino. You can come close by using the 4oz feature and the frother works fine, but just don’t expect true espresso shots. Nonetheless, it’s a good compromise. Get the same convenience as a Kurig, but with better tasting coffee approaching coffee shop quality. The regular drip basket (non pod) is a copper filter, so it will not add a metallic taste. It will make up to 24 oz of coffee which is really just two large mugs worth, but it is capable of very strong brew. If you are concerned about microplastics produced by the heat on plastic pods as we are, then use the metal pods available on Amazon with your own brand of coffee and grind your own for the best results.

For a coffee maker, it is nice and brews a nice cup. I bought it so I could make a larger cup of coffee than the standard k-cup makers. However, to make a large cup, you have to make it with grounds in the other coffee holder it comes with. I like how it has its own built in side compartment but it doesn’t empty well because it’s one piece. It’s a pain to get the grounds out. The frother is more of a mixer so if you’re looking to get a good latte from it, you will be disappointed. For a Ninja product, I was underwhelmed! It’s a nice looking product which earned it an extra star

Es una excelente opción a bajo costo comparado con otros productos que ofrecen menos diversidad de preparaciones. Es súper fácil de usar. Ocupa muy poco espacio y realmente considero que es un plus que acepte grano molido. OJO: Si eres de México no es “tan fácil” encontrar las cápsulas con las que trabaja (a diferencia de las Nespresso que venden en todos lados), pero Amazon resuelve ✅

I use it with the coffee grounds - it brews nice rich saturated coffee. In my opinion much tastier than any k-pod coffee maker of a comparable compact size. The stone color looks pretty too.
