Not sure if it was a bad tub or the standard taste but the taste was really off. Doesnt taste like vanilla at all and it overtook the entire smoothie.

I gave it a 5 star for the following reasons which also has its cons to them, but easily worked around: - It's not overly sweet. In fact the barely there sweetness makes it almost a turn-off. However, compared to other brands that are "too sweet", I can control the sweetness factor to my liking by adding fruit and whatever else I want to my liking. -to get 25gr of protein per serving, you need the too large scoops. Technically this would equate to 2.5lbs of any other supplement that requires the one scoop for the same amount of protein. Still a deal! -The list of ingredients is as clean as you'll find out there! Just for this reason alone this is a great purchase! -If baking with this and want to get the same amount of protein per servings as the one scoop counterpart, you'll have to change up the recipe a bit to accomodate the extra dry ingredients to liquid ration. -I made chocolate protein icing with the chocolate version on my protein brownies.............the possibilities are endless! Just make a few adjustments and trust me, you'll end up loving it!

Tastes like an early Joe Weider formula I used to favour. However there is no vanilla taste to this product at all which is very disappointing. Guess I'll be stuck with ordering the one without vanilla next time.

Tastes disgusting

I was skeptical to try this - especially so much that needed to be purchased without knowing if I would like it or not. So, I tried the vanilla flavor which in my opinion I can't taste the vanilla. Maybe if I had had the unflavored first, I could compare. But anyway, I use 2 cups of soy milk for extra protein (16 grams) and add 3-4 dates to help with sweetness and flavor. It is not the best in terms of texture, but it is smooth enough for me. It is not overly gritty or chalky in my opinion, but I have a Vitamix which is the king of blenders so it is relatively smooth. I've gotten use to it and plan to keep purchasing. I love the minimal ingredients and it is affordable. I only wish they would ship it in a smaller container. The container is HUGE and only about half full. That's not from settling.

I chose this because I was conscious that I was eating artificial sweeteners 7-days a week with my usual protein powder on my breakfast of fruit and nut muesli… but flavouring my cereal with the distinct taste of mushy peas is a step too far 🤢
