This is the best for my cold plunge. The thermometer is accurate, it nice and compact and I love that I can set the timer before getting in and it keeps track of my plunge time. It also has an auto shutoff which is nice in case you forget to turn it off. Would recommend for someone with a cold plunge

I use this thermometer specifically for ice baths after two hour pickleball sessions, and it’s been a game-changer. Before I get in, I drop it into the water to check the temperature — it gives me a quick and accurate reading within a few seconds. Once I confirm the water's cold enough, I hold the thermometer in my hand and start the built-in timer as I get in. It’s super convenient not having to fumble with my phone! The build quality feels solid, and so far it’s held up perfectly despite being exposed to water and rough conditions. Updated Review. Our second one just died after only a couple months. We let it dry out between uses in our cold plunge but it still takes in moisture and eventually dies. We will keep up the search. We have tried a couple different thermometers like these for our polar plunge and they stopped working after the first use. I didn’t have high hopes for this one but it has worked great! It’s completely waterproof and the temp seems spot on as we also put it in our hot tub and it was on point with what are hot tub registered… It also picks the temp up surprisingly quick! It’s pretty simple to use as well. Click one button for temp, click another for timer and just hit power off to turn both off. We’ve been happy with it.

Bought this for my ice bath. Perfect and gives a quick temp reading when you turn it on. The size is perfect. Works exactly like you hope it would. Easy button controls. The customer service is fantastic! It comes with a timer, but I think the timer is kind of useless. It would be an entire different product, but I'd prefer a clock with a seconds display. But then it's changing the entire product. So if you are just looking for a thermometer for your ice bath, this one is perfect and very affordable. It's a great option. But very specific use.

I just leave it inside the ice bath... it floats. Staying inside an ice bath too long can be very problematic... it gets a lot colder about 3 minutes AFTER you get out. Anyway, so far I was counting the seconds, not good enough... Also I want to get the accurate temperature as well as time, just to track my progress. Every morning I feel I walk up the scaffold for my own execution. Jumping into 5degC (39F) cold water never gets any easier, even so consciously I know it is not a big deal... it is just cold for 10 seconds, then the body adapts. Never stay in the ice water longer than 5 minutes (2 min as a beginner) because you can get into real trouble shortly after you get out... if this happen, quickly into the warm shower to heat up the skin.

Works really well! Now I can take baths in the evening at the proper temperature, 104°F, followed by a cool shower. Sleep like a baby! Making your bath too hot too close to bedtime will affect the quality of your sleep. And if you take a bath that’s excessively hot, anytime of day, you can blackout. It’s dangerous. There’s a narrow range of safe bathwater temperatures, and this device will help you stay within that range.

It is not a TIMER, it's a STOPWATCH, it counts UP not DOWN. Might be fine for some, but I got it thinking it was a timer that would ring, I have no use for a stopwatch :(( Accurate at room temp if on a solid surface at least, but on off button doesn't do anything most of the time, only turns it on and doesn't turn it off, and only changes between C and F when it feels like it :((
