Great addition to home gym.
I recently purchased the Gym Monster 2 by Speediance, and I must say it has transformed my home fitness routine. I spent many months researching options including Tonal amongst others. I settled on the GM2 based on reviews as well as a friend who had purchased a unit. The GM2 combines sleek design with impressive functionality, offering a versatile and efficient workout experience. Set up was easy as was creating profiles and figuring out how to work the machine. I have done a wide range of workouts on it so far and have been surprised about how varied and excellent the exercises are. The ability to have a virtual spotter provides me with confidence that I can work out alone and still push the weight to ensure muscle growth. The Bluetooth ring used to engage and disengage the weight also contributes to safety and convenience. Pros: • Compact and stylish design • Wide range of exercise options • Safety features including virtual spotting • Quiet operation • Easy setup and usability Cons: • The price might be a barrier for some • Requires consistent Wi-Fi for optimal use On balance, I feel the GM2 is an excellent investment for anyone looking to take their home workouts to the next level. It’s a complete gym in one machine, with features that cater to diverse fitness goals. The quality and functionality make it worth the price. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about home fitness.

I didn't realize I'd enjoy a smart home gym this much!
I’ve had my Gym Monster 2 (GM2) for about 2 weeks now, and all I can say is that we love it! Going into this purchase, my mind was wrapped around the fact that we’d have the ability to do a bunch of different exercises without having a bunch of weights to lug around, and all with a small footprint. What I didn’t give nearly as much weight to in my purchase decision was the “smart” part of the gym and the content available from it. This I think is where things get really cool! On day one, I did some free weights. That was great. Given all the pivot points for the cable you can do a lot of different exercise (like other cable machines). The first time you experience the weight turning on is sort of (and still to this day) magical. Being able to quickly change the weights and select from standard, cable, eccentric or fixed speed modes is a great feature. Also being able to set a spotter is awesome. If you can’t finish the rep, the machine will start to lower the weight until you’re able to get it moving again! Then on day 2 I tried one of the daily workout routines. This was awesome. I was able to select a 30ish minute workout that targeted the group of muscles I was interested in that day. I didn’t have to think much after that. I was guided through various video workouts, some of the videos tell you things to watch out for in your technique, and you get instant feedback if you’re lifting uneven, not holding your rep long enough, etc. At the end of the workout, you get a report to show you how you did, and it stores it in your profile. No more having to remember how much weight you used last, when you last did a certain exercise, or charting your progress, etc. It’s all there. I’ve since added my own custom workout routines where I can select the individual exercises from the catalog and specify the reps, weight types, etc., and it’s all ready for me to go with the click of a few buttons on the screen. So, what’s next? I want to try a multiple day/week programs that are available within the platform. The other thing I really like is that my kids like to use it. The rule I have is that they can only do a guided workout if they pay attention to the form and what the personal trainer is saying. This is great because they can learn the correct techniques and not treat my GM2 as another one of their toys! Overall, we love this thing. So, what do I not like? The only thing I can really think of is related to how the workouts are filmed and recorded. There seems to be two types of videos recorded. One that has video with a dubbed over (computer generated?) voice, and another where the personal trainer is actually talking to you. They each have their own benefits. I like how the dubbed over audio videos will stop the playing vocal track when you have 3 reps left and tell you that you have 3 reps left. But the voice track in general seems very impersonable. In contrast, the videos where the personal trainer is talking to you seems more personable and genuine, I’d imagine like working with a real personal trainer to some degree. The only bad thing is it doesn’t tell you when you have those 3 reps left, but they do tell you good job at the end. It would be cool if they could somehow combine the two styles of filming so that you had the feedback of where you’re at with your workout without having to look at the screen. A couple other things, the Official Speediance Community Facebook group is great and has a lot of positive vibes going on. The other thing I think is cool is the different goals and challenges that are available in the app. I’m working on the 20 Day Resolution Ready 2025 Challenge in hopes of winning a physical gold badge! I have a completely different type of product where that company does similar challenges and ships you badges or awards. It’s a great after-purchase experience for customers. I hope Speediance continues this! The other goals awarded in the app are also nice milestones to celebrate the work you’ve put into your workouts. Again, I’ve owned the GM2 for two weeks, but I’m loving it. I’ve used it almost every day and I can already see a difference in the mirror and how I feel. I can’t wait to see what the next few months bring to my overall health.

Great machine, especially for beginners!
I used to not work out at all but I wanted to start getting in shape. I had been looking at different options and the only options I could really come down to were the Tonal and the Speediance. Tonal was quickly out of the question due to being semi-permanently fastened to the wall, and the monthly membership fees. I became set on the speediance due to it being more compact, maneuverable and cheaper. Don't get me wrong, these things are still super expensive but in my eyes totally worth it for helping get into shape. We got the GM2 Works Plus on sale because of the few extra accessories like the adjustable bench. I've only been using this for a couple weeks, the first week was rough on my body, but now I notice I'm wanting to work out more because of how I'm feeling week 2. My body just feels a little bit better, I can only imagine what it will feel like after using this thing continually. I don't like going to the gym and I'm not a big fan of physical weights. I like that the speediance offers video to show you how to do each workout and the form. The accessory variety in a small form factor is really nice. I was expecting the electromagnetic pulley system to be more clunky but it really isn't. The only time I have issues, and maybe it's me, is when doing leg workouts and pulling to either side of the machine. The rope kind of rubs the wrong way on the plastic housing just outside the pulley, which I can see causing the rope to fray over time. Workout programs offered are pretty easy to setup. Overall, great machine if you're one who doesn't like to go to the gym or don't have a lot of time to workout, this makes it a lot easier to hop into a workout for 15m or an hour+.

Overall, i love it
The software is vast and rediculously user friendly (including with all the modes like eccentric or chain modes for example. The workouts and routines are extremely customizable (and no I dont pay for a subscription). I set my own routine or follow the preprogrammed ones. Not just the software and its utilization, but the structural design and mechanics are integral and innovative. Transitioning from ground to off ground resistance is very smooth and quick. These guys have really thought of everything and made working out, enjoyable again. The safety features seem solid. The ring disables the weight as well if the balance of your rep is too off level. Weight distribution is well balanced during workout (just make sure u have dumbbell or barbell selected appropriately!) Ive only taken the weight up to 120 lbs and it handled perfectly whilst feeling natural. Had to deal with support one time over a faulted ring. They were quick and easy to deal with. Replacement in a few days. And for assembly, anyone with half a brain would find it easy and quick. Id just recommend getting the "amazon room deliver." It is quite heavy. Overall, i love it.

Missing items
The product itself is fine but some of the items in the box are missing (small items). They won’t send replacement items I have to pack up this heavy machine and send the whole thing back. I don’t recommend buying from here

Amazing machine
Literally life-altering. Amazing product that makes setting up exercise routines super easy, and it takes you through each saved routing with controlled, definable timing. Switching between attachments is very quick, and I get so much more done within each workout day. Also gives excellent reports on muscle groups and which are ready to train again, based on previous workouts, so I can see if I’m overtraining anything, or missing any muscle groups. Only one initial issue I had was the Bluetooth ring disconnecting, which turned out to because the installer had connected the two antennas on the back the wrong way around (WiFi antenna is slightly different to the Bluetooth antenna). Switching them back was simple and fixed everything. For 30 years I’ve had conventional home gym equipment and have never had it so easy as this.

An almost perfect machine. Very cool concept.
Built a makeshift gym in our basement. Overall, the machine is amazing and I would have gladly given 5 stars had it not been for 2 caveats. The first caveat is they abandoned the entirely free platform and now the AI features are largely locked behind a sub, however the machine can still be used in manual mode and is not locked behind a paywall like tonal and others. The AI features cost less than half the competitors subs so while annoying its not a deal breaker. Caveat#2 = dont even waste your time with couples mode unless wanting to do two seperate exorcises on each of the two pulleys and jump back and forth. Me and my Wife are supporting eachothers fitness goals. We alternate our rep sets and while one does their set of 10 the other hops on the virtual pinball machine or our dart board to play their round in player 1 and player 2 fashion. The caveat is this = swapping between profiles is absolutely not an option and if it is it would be very slow and cumbersome so you end up taking turns on the same profile instead.. this makes that profile lool like superman and doesnt produce great data. To prevent botching either of our user profiles we had to create a third user peofile called hubby and wifey..we work out together on this profile..we adjust the weight each time we alternate and its an absolute blast still. However, the speediance folks really should make a true partner mode which allows essentially player 1 and player 2 structure similar to darts and have it so player 1 touches the screens end turn button to go to player 2. Have it maintain the weight settings of each player aka profile and this machine would be 5 stars all day. We found a way to make everything work out in a way that makes the work fun. Some minor qol improvements and this machine cn go from being good to being great.

Best Home Workout Machine Without the Paywal
Update: I did run into an issue after a buggy software update, but Speediance handled it really well. Support was quick to respond, the community was super helpful, and they shipped me a replacement screen right away. I was able to install it myself and get back to working out in under a week. Support 10/10. I chose Speediance over Tonal and Oxefit because I wanted to work out at home with full machine capabilities—without being locked into a monthly fee. While I’m now subscribed to their Wellness Plus program because I enjoy the guided workouts, I was able to use the machine effectively even before that. Portability is another plus! What really drew me in was avoiding the hassle of commuting to the gym, which in the past caused me to lose consistency after a few weeks. Since committing to Speediance, I’ve been able to stay on track for months. The workouts are well-structured yet fully customizable, allowing me to tailor each session and use the equipment in ways that suit me best. The smart resistance feels smooth but challenging, and their spotter mode gives me confidence and safety when lifting heavy. I also appreciate the gamification and regular events—they provide just the right motivation. Receiving physical medals for completed challenges is a great reminder of my progress and inspires me to keep going. Support has been fantastic, with quick responses through Facebook, and the community is friendly and welcoming. For convenience, flexibility, and motivation, Speediance has been one of my best health investments.

Excellent machine.
The gm2 starts to impress from the packaging. As soon as you open the box you can understand that this company has paid attention to all details. Fast delivery. Everything well and stable packed. The small wheels help to move around the heavy machine. And then you start using it. Excellent build quality. Very easy to adjust the weight resistance. A big screen with a "personal trainer". Easy to follow information. Good speakers to accompany your training. The team has payed attention to every little detail. You are not going to regret it.

Sehr geiles Teil!

The best fitness investment I’ve made
The Speediance Gym Monster 2 is a life changing machine. The convenience of having it at home is unbeatable—no more driving to a packed gym or waiting around for equipment. It's compact, easy to move once it's set up, and I honestly use it way more than I ever went to the gym. There are tons of features and customizable workouts, so it's super easy to find something that fits your goals. I love the custom workout feature—l've even added some of my old gym routines into it, you can pretty much do anything that you could do in your local gym on this machine. Another bonus is the super supportive Facebook community. They run challenges, giveaways, share tips, and help with questions. I've even won free merch! It's a cool extra that keeps you motivated. I've had no issues whatsoever with my machine since I received it over 8 weeks ago. If you can afford it, it's a great investment. Couldn't recommend it more!
