Blue Bloods is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan is the New York Police Commissioner, and heads both the police force and the Reagan brood. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry, during his stint as Chief. A source of pride and concern for Frank is his eldest son, Danny, a seasoned detective, family man and Iraq War vet who on occasion uses dubious tactics to solve cases with his partner, Detective Maria Baez. Each episode tackles a never ending stream of crime, endless number of problems within families, difficulties in helping and serving society, etc. Very engaging and thought provoking. On top of all that the conversations are diamonds of writing. The characters are consistent and true to themselves from the start to the very end. It is kind of sad that the series has closed its curtains... Thanks to all the creators: each and every one of them have done perfect jobs!

This series has been excellent from season 1, episode 1! Each episode tackles a never ending stream of crime, endless number of problems within families, difficulties in helping and serving society, etc. Very engaging and thought provoking. The series is fabulous! With this DVD I completed the collection. Despite being region 1 and not having subtitles in Portuguese, it is fabulous, as are the other seasons. Unfortunately CBS ended it one of his best series (if not the best of all).
