I have 2 of these now and theyre the best balance of quality and affordability in an M.2 drive. I trust samsung SSDs more than any others and these especially are a great speed for higher capacity storage. They do get warm when under heavy use but all m.2 will so makesure theyre attached to a heat sink and you wont have any problems.

Item works as listed , no issues whatsoever and it was cheap at the time for 2tb of space. Well worth the price.

Amazing product, I ordered 4 items, all 4 work amazingly, the performance is as promised. For guys who have issues with Samsung Magician - run this tool with admin rights, the issue is with "not Samsung" hardware because of the Windows type of applications running.

This is a blazingly fast drive running slower than it's capable to accommodate an eatx Asus crosshair vi extreme motherboard. I'm using it as a separate nvme SSD mounted in the m.2-2 slot of the pc. I have a 500gb Evo 970 plus running windows 11. Windows doesn't need 2TB and for now 500GB is enough. Games can need a lot of space and loading times are much better with a sata m.2, let alone a nvme m.2 like this 990. The extra speed of this device that I'm not experiencing is neither here nor there as the £120ish price is good value IMHO. I have also purchased another for a friend at £114 after another nvme of another manufacturer seems to have failed. Left with a HDD to run the pc from was very laggy. Now with this nvme SSD the pc is much more responsive. That pc has windows and games running from this one drive and perform ls well. Samsung magician can be helpful to monitor Samsung drives, as can crystal disk info to monitor this drive and others. I have also installed a cooler for it, it may not need it at these speeds but it looks and operates in cool fashion.

I upgraded my old NVMe on my DELL G7 15" laptop, and this worked like a charm!! This is the best choice for for this laptop, both in capacity and writing/reading speed. A small technical detail, I have run a few tests and I discovered that it performs better with 512k block size. Highly recommended!

L'SSD Samsung 990 EVO Plus (versione da 1TB) arriva in un packaging compatto interamente in cartoncino con fogli illustrativi. La presenza di un rigonfiamento sigillato nel blister interno, mi aveva fatto sperare avessero incluso la vite M2 e si trovasse li, ma sfortunatamente mi sbagliavo. Questo SSD ha interfaccia PCIe 5.0 (ed è retro-compatibile con le precedenti generazioni). Il controller utilizzato Samsung Piccolo S4LY022, e l'uso di cache HMB, sono le le uniche cose che lo differenziano dal più costoso Samsung 990 Pro, che usa Samsung Pascal S4LV008 e DRAM cache; le memorie NAND su 990 EVO Plus sono infatti le stesse V8 V-NAND. Risultati benchmark: - Velocità lettura sequenziale: 7100MB/s - Velocità scrittura sequenziale: 6125MB/s - Velocità di lettura file casuale grande 4096 Bytes con input singolo da parte di un unico richiedente: 99MB/s - Velocità di scrittura file casuale grande 4096 Bytes con input singolo da parte di un unico richiedente: 350MB/s Il firmware è arrivato già aggiornato. Il trasferimento dalla vecchia unità utilizzando Samsung Magician (scaricabile gratuitamente dal sito Samsung) è davvero semplicissimo. L'SSD una volta installato viene riconosciuto immediatamente, però non è visibile tra i volumi di archiviazione perchè non è presente il volume logico e non è formattato. Perciò non fatevi prendere dal panico se, subito dopo l'installazione, non vedete nulla nella sezione "Questo PC". CONCLUSIONI SSD di qualità che pur essendo HMB (senza DRAM cache) usa le NAND Samsung di fascia alta di nuova generazione che garantiscono alte prestazioni, affidabilità con produzione di calore relativamente bassa e consumi contenuti. Solo non si spiega il rifiuto categorico d'includere una minuscola vite dal costo irrisorio. NOTA L'SSD non ha dissipatore incluso e può tranquillamente farne a meno, non essendo un modello che tende a surriscaldare, ma è sempre positivo applicarne uno in scenari d'uso intensivi.

The SSD was a huge improvement over the default one came in the laptop, mine had a WD SN530 512GB, I got this one and the performance is really good, I can run around 7-8 VMs concurrently with heavy load in VMware Workstation Pro without the SSD bottlenecking and affecting performance. Definitely worth the price. If using a nvme enclosure and are getting a counterfeit warning, just check the serial number, if that matches it's genuine one. It will be flagged as genuine once you swap the internal SSD for this one. And the cloning is really good as well, do not panic at 99%, it takes around 20-30 minutes for that 99-100%, and the overall cloning via the Samsung magician will depend on how much actual storage has to be cloned.
