Strong magnet!
This stud finder does the Job! So, I was trying to find studs to hang a TV. This little 3-4" long gadget has a magnet that is strong enough to find a screw in a stud and to let go of it and see it stick to the wall. It is unmistakable as a Klein tool with its black and orange design. The level sight glass was easy to read and use to locate the edges of the stud.It seems tough and ready to get to work. I was able to accurately mark a level line, and then find the edge of the stud and mark a plumb line. Great tool. Perfectly priced.

Very strong magnets and am fond of the built in level
I have a reliable battery operated stud finder but also wanted a more compact and battery-less one to use on thick walls or to double check walls with inconsistent framing. My father had one from the early 80s that used to pivot and had notches for marking off the where a screw was found, but I couldn't remember the brand and haven't found the identical model. I'm building out a closet from a closet kit where the closet wall is shared with the laundry machine, dryer, electrical and plumbing and wanted to be sure that what was detected as a stud was in fact a singular object such as a screw head and not something else like a copper or ABS drain pipe. Having two stud finders helped me to easily determine the distance between studs without making any marks on the wall (I usually use painters tape and mark on the tape). I found the magnet to be very strong but have not tried it on plaster or other non-drywall surface. I also found the level to be useful to vertically line up the framing. I looked at a few other magnetic stud finders and even possibly 3D printing my own, but ultimately chose this 2-pack for the built-in bubble level and notches for accurately marking the detected screw/nail head. I also have a few other Klein tools (e.g. Scout Pro for ethernet/coax cable testing, non-contact voltage tester, tone generator and tracer) that have worked well for me so this seemed like a safe bet. For me, this stud finder is the best and most compact solution.

Awesome stud finder
This is the best stud finder on the market. Easy to use and strong magnet that won’t destroy your drywall. Highly recommend for any DIY project

Kinda fun to use!
I love this little stud finder! So easy, and powerful enough to stick to the wall! Highly recommend! You never have to replace batteries for it either. Its very durable, accurate and worth the price! Small enough to fit anywhere, easy enough to stick on any metal surface like your work truck!

Great
Love these. best stud finder I've ever had. Basically just as good as any magnetic stud finder, but they are pretty compact, the level bubble is sometimes a nice feature to point straight up and follow where the stud is.

Its a nice tool for what it is
I like it, its nice to level and make a mark. If all you want to do is find a stud id just get a powerful magnet. The magnet is a little weak but does the job. Im satisfied with it for the price.

Solid, simple, and does the job — with a couple small quirks
I picked up the Klein magnetic stud finder for some wall-mounting projects and overall, it’s been a dependable little tool. It’s simple — no batteries, no beeping — just strong magnets that latch onto screws or nails in the studs behind drywall. What I like: The magnets are strong — once it catches a screw head, you know you’ve found your stud. Lightweight and pocket-sized, so it’s easy to keep on you while working. No calibration or fuss — works right out of the box. What could be better: Because it relies on finding metal fasteners, it can be less helpful if your studs don’t have screws/nails where you’re searching. Not as precise as an electronic stud finder for centering studs — you still have to guess a bit. I gave it 4 stars because while it’s reliable and well-built, it’s not foolproof in every wall type. For quick jobs and basic drywall, it’s a great choice — just know its limits.

Good magnet that works as it should.
Just a strong magnet that finds the nails/screws in the wall. Works just as advertised.

So glad I bought it
This was much smaller than I expected and I worried it wouldn't work but it was great! Doesn't take up too much room in my toolbox and is functional. I needed it for one specific job so I didn't want to invest in a more expensive one and this was perfect.
