Curious, sad and tragic
Brilliant book that really explores a human perspective. Itโs a reminder of how we really can differ from person to person and itโs a tragic story of someone trying to find their way in their isolation. Iโm not the best at reviews hahaha but I think this book is amazing.

Story and Condition
A wonderful story that is incredibly stylisted to fit into a story of existential minimalism. Dazai is perhaps one of the greatest authors Iโve ever read, if I could I would erase my memories of the story and read it again. The book was in brilliant condition.

Sadness
No Longer Human is a great book, which holds a lot of meaning and story behind it. It was a semi-biography I believe from the author, and was published a few months before Osamu Dazai committed suicide. If you like to tear yourself down and cry about a book non-stop, then buy it And I would like to say that Osamu Dazai was abused by women in the majority of his life, so thatโs why women in the book may not have the best of all picture!

What.
No Longer Human is a semi biography about it's author, Dazai Osamu, who killed himself a couple months after writing this book. If you want a really sad book that you can cry yourself to sleep to, this is a great choice. To think that somebody in real life had to go through similar events to the character in this book is gut wrenching.

An absolute masterpiece
It has become my favorite book of all time now. I only learned of the author from a character in an anime series whose personality was inspired by the author and Yozo. Curious I purchased this book and have read it way faster than anything before. I have felt enamored with the writing style, rich depth of the psyche of this man. At times perhaps because of my own experiences I have actually reflected upon his life as to mine. Impressed. Beautiful writing. Deep tragic story. But amazing! A must read for everyone in their lifetime. Never have I seen a perceived misery portrayed so well.

Amazing read
If you're here after watching Bungo Stray Dogs, then you're not alone because that's also how I got here. Obviously, Dazai (anime Dazai) is a direct reference to the author of this work. I must admit with shame, I thought this was a book written as extention of the anime but I stand corrected, this was the original sauce. I personally loved it, but I can understand some may find Osamu Dazai's feelings and personality difficult to 'relate' to, but not all people are made to be related to. Specifically, this book is semi autobiographical and that MUST be taken into consideration. If you like books such as The Bell Jar or The Catcher in the Rye, then you will probably like this book. It's dark, and has no specific plot, mostly consisting of internal monologue. It's beautifully written, but it does take the right mindset and taste in literature to actually "enjoy" or seek value from, in any degree. TLDR; it's not for everyone. But it's good, and a short read.
