What makes Patisserie Valerie different?

We have been baking since 1926, when Madame Valerie opened her first patisserie in Soho. Our cakes, scones, macarons and traybakes are still finished by hand to recipes that have been kept in the family for a century.

Are your cakes and treats really handmade?

Yes. Our patissiers layer, fill and finish every cake by hand, and our traybakes and brownies are hand-cut. That is why no two are ever quite identical.

What is inside an afternoon tea or cream tea box?

Typically mini fruit and plain scones, clotted cream, strawberry conserve, handmade mini cakes and tea. Exact contents are listed on each product page.

Which one should I choose as a gift?

For two people, a cream tea or afternoon tea box. For a group, the brownie, macaron or patisserie slice boxes share easily. For a birthday centrepiece, choose one of our 6 inch or 8 inch layer cakes.

Do you have plant-based options?

Yes. Several of our cakes are plant-based, including our Biscoff Cake, which is made without egg or dairy. Full ingredient and allergen information is shown on each product page.

Effing Delicious!

Arrived when it said it would, great care was taken with packaging, Looked beautiful, and tasted amazing, we have never finished a birthday ect in the family before, but this cake was so delicious, we have planned to order from them for every birthday and even xmas if possible.

Slopped birthday cake

This was the 3rd cake I’ve ordered from patisserie, 1st 2 made up with my 3rd cake was my granddaughter’s 21st birthday, came a day early as expected , stored exactly how they said , opened on the day to find it slopped & frosting melted, tryed hiding on cake stand due to it being a surprise birthday cake, very disappointed to say the least
