Fun Cookbook
These recipes are not necessarily the everyday kind but are a nice collection of recipes from all over the world. The cookbook makes for pleasant reading. If you are like me and enjoy "reading" cookbooks, this is a good one. The recipes vary from easy to intermediate.

A definit buy.
I just received this book and I can't stop reading it. Some fantastic recipes from all over Europe. I have made two recipes already and will be making many more. Obviously, some of the ingredients are not always easy to get where I live in Dominica in the Caribbean but I always improvise. Really good read, great photographs, well written.

Be prepared to convert British measure and temps!
Beautiful book! But once again Paul Hollywood thinks if he can whip this up so can you. Recipes are not really for novice bakers and be prepared to convert from British measure and temps. Would be a wonderful gift for an avid and advanced baker.

Love Paul Hollywood and this companion book for one of his shows. Contains a wide variety of treats from around the world. The directions are clear, the recipes are easy to follow and the results so,far have been quite good.Keep in mind that everything is in metric, so if you’re in the U.S., conversion charts will be handy.

Thanks for the great baking book!
Lots of good advice for baking. I have tried some of the recipes and found them to be easy and reliable. And the photos are a real bonus.

Yummy!
Oh, Paul Hollywood! Your food is amazing and although sometimes I have to look up your directions or ingredients because I have no idea what it is, I feel so productive and "chefy" when I am cooking with your book. It makes cooking and art and the results are heavenly! I would say this book is for the motivated weekend baker though, not for the faint of heart! ;)

Around the world
This Hollywood production is a trip around the baked goods of various world locations. It’s a sort of follow on from British Baking, but with just a handful of recipes per country. Or you could use it as a foodie guide if you are off on a trip. Compared with Pies and Puds, there seem to be more vegetarian options available (I still need to find a lard substitute though as veg suet is a bit awful). I gently work my way through all of his books, as now I have a mighty Kenwood Chef and a dough hook, it’s fairly speedy. Although some recipes do repeat, many of them have variation twists, or are better more reliable versions (I’m still waiting to try out the last version of crumpets in Bread to see if it finally works). However my baking has definitely improved...partly because when I’m about to take the bread out the oven there’s a Hollywood squeezed into my galley kitchen just behind my ear complaining about the colour. Or partly because for years I have been making up pastry dough, rolling it into a ball and putting it in the fridge. One mention of Mr H that you should shape it into a flattened disk and pastry has become a doddle. The first recipe is churros ‘doughnuts’ and thick Spanish dipping chocolate. Very drippy, messy and out of this world.

Do not recommend
Not a good recipe book. Did not like the recipes the pictures make it all look very unappetising. Nothing I would make - do not recommend

Bagels!
I really bought this book on Kindle for (a) the price and (b) the recipe for bagels. Excellent result on both counts.
