Product misinformation
The connector for the CPU was not an 8-pin but an 8-pin (4+4).

If cable management is important then you would want these cables. Keeps the wires nice and tight together.

Cables are made well and both ends have good connections. Great for extending your EPS cable.
I needed an CPU EPS extension cable during my new PC I was building. Building in a smaller case than usual (A3 Case) and my power supply was at the front of the case. The included EPS with my power supply was a standard length and it did reach back to the motherboard but it had to reach across the motherboard instead of being nicely cable managed down the top of the case. After some time I just didn't care for how it looked - the cable stretching across the motherboard. I came across this set of 2 and thought I'd give them a shot. Before now I had never used an extension for the EPS cable so I wasn't totally sure it would work but it did work and so far it's working great. Both cables are made quite well (as most Cable Matters cables are) and the wires are secure in each connector on both ends. The ends themself seem fine and I didn't have an issue with connection one end to my power supply EPS cable and the other end to my motherboard EPS connector. They are also sleeved with a thin black sleeve but not completely which leads me to the only negative I have...The yellow wires don't go with most PC setups people have and they do stick out. It's quite obvious there's a yellow wire or two or three. It's more obvious right at both ends where the black sleeve ends so I just took a couple Velcro cable ties and wrapped around the one end (other end isn't visible in my case). I used this cable tie to wrap around the yellow part at the end but also used this to keep it nice and tidy at the top of my case. The cable tie was used to hold the cable up at the top of the case and also mask some of the yellow. I wish I would have done this prior to putting the cable in the case and connecting it but it wasn't a big deal. For the money, and what you're getting here I think it's a great value for the money. I have one left in case I need another EPS extension for my next build.
