Great product for a great price
This does seem to add a little volume. Hard to tell since I have thin, fine, lifeless hair. I wash my hair every 5 days. I also exercise 6 days a week and sweat like mad. This product took care of the oil and helps it look fine. The scent doesn’t seem to linger for very long but does make my hair not stink from not being washed. I’ve seen negative comments about the scent but I didn’t find the scent awful or too strong. I don’t like strong scents, don’t wear perfume or scented body products. People saying to put it on before you sleep are right. I do this sometimes and it works the best. If you spray it a lot, it does look a tiny white. I’ve only experienced that two times when I over sprayed. I massaged it in, and the white went away no problem. My hair is red, so I think I’d see if the product left white on it.

Price is right, effective product
Price is right! It leaves a nice scent and really soaks up all the oil while giving your hair a little volume boost! Leaves a little bit of residue but if you rub it in it goes away. My hair is very fine so I have to be careful when using it because it will dry it out, so I put coconut oil or conditioner on the tips of the hair to keep it from getting split ends when I use the product. I’ve tried other dry shampoos and this one is the best. It does have some questionable ingredients though, but compared with the Ones that have more natural ingredients this one is more effective.

Preforms better than high-end dry shampoos at a fraction of the price
I consider myself to be somewhat of a dry shampoo connoisseur because I feel like I've tried just about every dry shampoo available to me. Before I purchased the Dove Dry Shampoo, I was a die-hard Living Proof Dry Shampoo fan. My mother, who is a hairstylist, suggested that I give this one a go and it was love at first dry-cleanse. My Hair: I have naturally curly hair (3b-3c curls) that are easily straightened if I blow dry it (I do not use a straightening or curling iron). I only use dry shampoo when my hair is straight. First, it smells so good! At first, I felt like the scent was too strong and overpowering but that fades rather quickly. It just leaves the hair with a just-washed-my-hair shampoo/conditioner scent. There's very little white cast if you spray it on properly. The closer you spray to your scalp, the stronger the white cast gets. I find that any white cast that I do get is gone by the 30 seconds I wait before I shake out or brush my hair. I've sprayed this dry shampoo right on my front hairline without any issues after I shake it off. Secondly, this product not only gives you that clean-hair feeling, but it also leaves hair voluminous. It gives just the right amount of texture but doesn't make the hair gritty. It also doesn't leave hair with that dry, Halloween-stringy-wig lifeless look. One of the biggest problems I had with Living Proof's and The Dry Bar's dry shampoo was that around the 12-hour mark, the hair felt and looked a bit greasier than what I started with. Those two, as with almost all higher-end dry shampoos, have quite a bit of conditioning oils in them, which is not a bad thing, especially if you have very dry hair. I don't have particularly oily or dry hair but dry shampoos with certain oils certainly make my hair turn into a pumpkin at midnight lol! Doesn't mean they're not good options, but for the price, I want the longevity that this Dove dry shampoo provides. I knocked a star off a star because it does leave quite a bit of build up on the scalp if you spray it directly. It's best to use a clarifying shampoo if you've used this shampoo three consecutive days or more. I will usually only spray on my scalp on the first day, and if I need to use it again, I spray as close to the scalp as possible without spraying on my actual scalp. It's inevitable that you'll get some product on your scalp, but if you don't spray it directly you get less residue. Overall, this is a great dry shampoo, regardless of the price, and I highly recommend it. The fact that it's so cheap is just an awesome added bonus. I choose this one over my higher-end dry shampoo any day.

Love it!
I have A LOT of long, fine hair that is dirty blonde. My stylist told me to keep my hair from drying out and getting split ends, I should train my hair by only washing every 3 days. Seeing as my hair looks oily by the end of the first day, I thought it'd be impossible. A few tricks that have helped me understand and use this product, 1) don't "rub it in" - spray it on sections (I use that term lightly, I basically just move chunks of hair to make sure I'm covering the root areas that aren't along my part) and then either tousle it, or use a comb or brush to lightly brush through. I use a zig zag brushing pattern, thats more like fluffing rather than detangling. 2) don't do ANYTHING until you've given it a few minutes to dry, 3) since your scalp produces oil at night when your head and hair is smashed on a pillow, I've found it actually works best for me when I apply a heavy dose before bed, lightly tousle it and sleep with my hair down. By morning I simply brush through it and it doesn't look like I haven't washed it in 3 days. A few other notes, the smell is definitely potent, but only for the first few minutes, then it fades to a light "fresh" smell. Also, as with almost all dry shampoos, if you're using more than a quick spritz, it is going to leave a residue feeling. The good news is you can't see it, and for me that's just fine. It actually gives my fine heavy hair a bit more texture and volume so I consider that a plus.
