Great addition to BCP library
I’m been a critic of the books I own for several years, that’s why I own them. This edition of the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) makes the everyday life of today’s Episcopalian a labor of love, both for God in all forms, and for God’s people. A very special addition to one’s library and, ultimately, one’s life. Quite worthwhile, even if you own another.

Old-timey relevance in today’s crazy world.
I’m a small town farm kid who was raised Catholic. “Episcopal” was probably a bad word when I was a child, yet here we are. This book just arrived and I’m not 50 pages in and although it was purchased for its historical value it’s contemporary relevance should neither be understated nor overlooked. The fun part for me is its Olde English style that imparts that “everyday words of wisdom and hope from beyond” vibe.Since the lot of it is about mass, this Episcopalian prayer book rings familar even to a Catholic. It’s a good one to have, regardless of your denominational upbringing. You probably won’t pick this one up every day but it totally belongs on your bookshelf. This is also a fairly thick copy with an average font size so your current reading glasses should work well and it feels good on a lap. It’s not recommended for a backpack, but it’s totally fine for the home or a day on the beach.

This is a hefty paperback but it is the entire Book of Common Prayer!
Though hefty it's not too heavy to hold. It was what I wanted and expected. I highly recommend it unless you want the expensive leatherbound Common Prayer book!

Paperback. Low cost. Good print size.
Book met expectations, but did not impress.Paperback. Low cost. Good print size. Smaller book, but thicker than the Pew version. I'll buy the Pew version next....

Lol Yep it’s Big
Ok, everyone says it’s big , no , it’s Thick ! 2 1/4 in , and heavy . You won’t be pooping it in your purse to sit and read in quiet moments . It takes some concentration. You can’t skim it . It was not what I expected . I was wanting a simple prayer book . Wanted to compare service order etc tol the Catholic Church . It is a fantastically liturgical book . If you are wanting an inspirational simple prayer book, skip this. You will need an understanding of Protestant terms . If you want to study the service order of the Episcopal . Church , here ya go ! Also side note , if there is an apocalypse, there are 5 people left , you have this book , you will be appointed the new preacher .

Not at all usable for a layman
This book would be great if I was a 14th century priest. This is far more than I can use on my own. Also, it is very difficult to navigate. I have five book marks because I can never find what I'm looking for. The TOC are next to useless

Perfect size
Love it! It’s not too small that you can no longer read the print. It’s not too big that it’s no longer portable. It IS a rather thick book. I’m very happy with my purchase. It was well packed and shipped very, very fast ! Now I have my own BCP for personal devotion !
