Avantree Certified aptX HD Bluetooth 5.0 Transmitter Receiver for TV, Low Latency Wireless Audio Adapter for Headphone, Long Range, Voice Guide, Touch Screen, Splitter for Wire & Wireless - Oasis Plus

I work from home and spend several hours a day in video calls. I am also a podcaster and have a Twitch channel where I live stream retro games. I wanted to untether myself from my desk while talking to colleagues, be able to access my second desk during meetings, stand up while podcasting and have greater range of movement while live streaming or go and make a cup of tea during a stream.I have Behringer UMC202HD for hooking up an XLR mic, monitor speakers and earbuds. I was looking for a way to add a Bluetooth transmitter to the headphone out on the UMC202HD. I learned that aptX low latency was required on the transmitter and Bluetooth headphones. After researching Bluetooth transmitters, I settled on the Avantree Oasis Plus and am extremely pleased with the results.I have the Oasis Plus (AUX) connected to the headphone out on the Behringer and toggled the OPT/AUX switch to AUX. I have the Oasis Plus permanently powered via the supplied USB micro cable connected to a spare USB port on one of my displays.I've paired Shure SE215-CL-BT2 earbuds and Sennheiser Momentum Free earbuds (both aptX low latency) with the Oasis Plus. Pairing was quick and simple for both. Audio quality is excellent, no background hum or hiss. Both sets of ear buds can be connected at the same time. Not a feature I will use often, but handy to have. Most importantly, a switch on the side of the Oasis Plus allows you to set the aptX preference of low latency or HD. With low latency selected both earbuds respond with extremely low latency, and using audio/video sync tests on YouTube confirms that audio and video are aligned. Perfect!I am able to wander to all corners of the house and stay connected to the Oasis Plus, with some brief dropouts when farthest from it. Long range is not a real requirement for me, but being able to wander off to make tea while keeping music playing is nice.I have disabled to audio prompts from the Oasis Plus because I can see at a glance the status of connected devices by looking at it. The included instructions clearly explain how to use all the features of the Oasis Plus, such as clearing the pairing history.I won't ever use the receiver capability or optical audio, so can't speak to that. But, as an aptx low latency transmitter it works brilliantly.

Having tried the TaoTronics Bluetooth Transmitter and Receiver, which didn't work well for me, I decided to give the Avantree device a go and I'm glad I did.My Set-Up: I have connected the Avantree to my LG TV via the USB port in transmitter mode. One problem I did have with my TV was it only has one USB slot that supplied power, which was being used by another device I have attached. I solved this by buying an Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Ultra Slim Data Hub, which extended my one USB 3 slot to 4. NOTE: the Avantree device does not have an in-built battery so has to be powered through USB/mains to work. I have stuck the Avantree to the back of my TV using dual lock tape, so it's all hidden away. I've connected two Audio-Technica ATH-M50XBT headphones to the device.Build Quality: nice and sturdy, doesn't feel like it will break in your hands and would likely survive a drop from a reasonable height.Installation: was a breeze. connected it to the TVs optical audio port, paired each headphone individually and configured the TV to only output sound through optical et voila sound was being transmitted through both headphones only.Sound Quality: I have noticed a little crackling in the sound when you first switch the device and pair your headphones in the first minute, but that's pretty much it after that it works smoothly, and the sound is great. There is a very very slight delay in lip sync when you are watching certain things, I've primarily noticed it on Youtube clips but it's hardly noticeable unless you are looking for it. No synch issues at when watching movies/shows on Netflix.Overall: very happy with the purchase and would certainly recommend it for those looking to use it in combination with your TV to output sound to one or two headphones.

Me and the Mrs are well into our music, and being as I am a bit of a tech-head, I love my gadgets, and as part of that we do actually have a very nice separates system in the living room connected to the TV. However, we also live in a semi detached house and while we think the sound proofing is quite good between the houses, a tendency for late night listening meant we wanted to look into a headphone solution.We have had such setups before. First we had a couple of pairs of headphones, the brand of which I forget now, but were basically considered entry level audiophile wired headphones out of a Behringer headamp. It worked, but wasn't the last word in refinement or sound quality. This was then followed by a Sennheiser RS 160 setup, this was an RF wireless setup. Again, it was decent but not mind blowing. Both solutions felt like a noticeable step down in quality from our separates.Eventually we just gave up on the idea for a while, but we had a few choice discussions about the volume levels, and so it became obvious I would have to re-visit the idea. I already had a nice pair of B&W bluetooth headphones (P7W), and I adore those, so logically, I thought get a transmitter like this and another pair of headphones. My research led me to the Avantree. Sennheiser do a similar device but the reviews were lukewarm and the suggestion that using 2 pairs would default to SBC codec were somewhat off-putting.I bought this and a pair of newer B&W headphones for the Mrs. The newer pair, the PX7 are significantly different to the P7, with the latter being like old-school wireless headphones and the newer pair being crammed full of noise cancelling tech and using newer AptX HD / Adaptive codec.Unfortunately, I think it was these differences that resulted in it not really working properly, when we played both the P7 and PX7 simultaneously, we experienced stuttering sound in the latter, newer headphone. I could not get to the bottom of this, however, I had a feeling that because the older headphones worked perfectly, then it was probably the mismatch causing the issue. Not just that, but the PX7's didn't sound as good and were less comfortable, and we didn't need the noise cancelling tech (disabling it made little difference to the quality), so I decided to try and sell those and find a matching pair of P7s.I'm glad I did, as they now both play flawlessly on the unit with excellent sound quality and minimal levels of latency, and both max out at their native AptX codec.The device itself is easy to set up and has clear instructions, I'm impressed with the thought that went into it. I like the way it talks to you to tell you whats going on as well.I would have given this 5-stars but I have to knock off a star for this stuttering issue. It seems to me like you will definitely get the best results if both pairs of headphones are matched. It's not guaranteed that you will have an issue with different types of headphones, but your mileage may vary.

I bought this to use bluetooth headphones to listen to TV. I want a better sound from TV but not bothered with surround sound, and mega bass, just decent stereo and fuller sound for listening to music on TV - concerts, documentaries etc., and Im not in a position to put TV between my Hi Fi speakers.The Oasis Plus is top spec Bluetooth 5 APTX low latency, and my main concern was that my 2 pairs of existing headphones were beneath this - one pair APTX BT 4 and one pair BT 4, not APTX, and neither were 'low latency' which apparently is an 'add-on' to APTX. The device is well designed with optical, 3.5mm jack and phono inputs (via adapter lead) , and all connecting leads are supplied along with a usb power lead.Set up using decent instructions supplied was pretty straightforward, and spoken guidance from device confirmed correct set up and pairing. Any latency would mean vision and audio were out of sync, but both pairs of headphones worked fine. As I was able to check latency by listening to TV internal speakers along with headphones, I could hear a slight 'echo/delay' - indicating very slight latency, but this was so slight that using headphones alone, there appeared to be decent sync with video on screen, very satisfied with result. I was listening about 3-4 metres from TV with a clear line of sight to transmitter. I was also able to walk out of my lounge into kitchen with no loss of signal.The device can also be used as a receiver - for instance to play bluetooth devices into a hi fi with no bluetooth - there is an identical set of connections on rear of device for receiver mode, and these can also be brought into play if you want to connect a TV soundbar in transmitter mode , along with headphones - they call this 'pass through'.A well designed device which worked perfectly for me.

Ive used Avantree bluetooth transmitters since 2018 and they're by far the best .. excellent signal and super simple to pair my Sennheiser IEBT earbuds and Sennheiser 450BT for fantastic sound with zero lag and whereever I am in my apertment I'm getting clear audio .. I use it for TV and gaming with my PS5 (PS4 earlier) .. its so good I rarely use my dedicated gaming headset unless I'm going to play with others and need the chat option.. and when I had some crackling issues one email to support and I'm directed with a link for a firmware update and its been excellent since .. buy with confidence .. even the tiny square aptX low latency transmitter (which I still use in my bedroom) is superb and they ALL take two contacts so you can watch with a partner!!

It's a great device but as a receiver not a transmitter.there is a big but if you are a gamer or movie fan and really want the transmitter.If you are using it to receive audio it's great and in most people's cases you won't notice the lag.But if you are watching a film or playing a game there is a 1 second lag that can get up to 1.4 sometimes.In games it's fustrating especially if you need sound cues.Movies you can get use to a bit but it's still annoying. It's frustrating as I really wanted to like this device.I spent so much time researching different brands and companies and thought this was a great option but the delay killed it for me.I might have just got a £20 transmitter at least I would of saved money and expected the lag.Still a decent buy as a reciever though.

I’ve an old tower desktop pc that needed a decent sound card. I went with an external dac soundcard (a Fiio E17). The dac is connected to by 3.5mm audio cable to this Avantree transmitter to send the audio to speakers and airpods.To my ear, this arrangement worked exceptionally well. I’ve used it to watch/listen to Amazon’s primevideo, Netflix, youTube and classicfm. I’m not an audiophile but enjoy listening to the individual tones in high quality classical music tracks. There is no noticeable lack of synchronisation between the video and audio.Quick setup guide - the buttons explained - transmitter modeBottom right are ‘plus’ and ‘minus’ for volume control. Holding both down clears the bluetooth paired memory.Bottom left is the pairing button. Touching this will make the light above it flash quickly and it will automatically pair with a speaker that’s in pairing mode. Alternatively, if the unit is set to ’Rx’, receive, this button will enable pairing with a pc/phone/bluetooth player.Next to this button is the ‘aux/opt’ for switching input between the use of 3.5mm audio cable and optical audio cable. Holding this button down for 7 seconds will disable the voice prompts which are handy for initial use.Pros1. There is no internal battery which could be good for use with a desktop pc as batteries need care and maintenance. I’ve also used it with a TV to enable bluetooth sound output; the ‘no battery’ renders it a simple ‘plug-in and forget’ device - it’s perfect in this role.2 The range is pretty good. It works at seven metres and round two corners in my house; it’ll work much further if there is ‘clear line of sight’.3. Two bluetooth devices can be connected at once - I’ve tried it, it works.4. The unit reliably connects to its remembered devices automatically. It also starts up automatically with its last configuration - essential for use with TV’s.5. It’ll work very well with Apple Airpods though if the airpods are already paired with an iPhone/Mac, they will need to be unpaired (click ‘forget this device’ on the iPhone/Mac). Being able to work with airpods is a bit of big deal as they can be a pain, being as they are in a way, two bluetooth devices which are also pushy in their way of wanting to be paired to only one source. Apple utilise their own version of 'apx hd' and I suspect that it's compatible with Avantree's system. I say this because, in my opinion, the airpods appear to work much better than Jaybird earpods in this role.Cons1. There is no battery. This and it’s protruding antenna doesn’t help its portability.2. A battery might be of benefit when used with a laptop to smooth or clean the power supply. I’m going to try out this Avantree with a Macbook and a Lenovo Thinkpad laptop and I’ll post an update on this in a couple of weeks.OtherI’d a small hiccup registering for the extended guarantee; it’s a must-do thing within 30 days of purchase. The manufacturer’s customer service people helpfully dealt with this issue promptly. The power is led to the unit by a micro usb cable; it’s essential that this be the original cable or another high quality cable. A low quality cable used here will cause disruptions to the sound stream. This product has advanced features such as 'HD' and 'APTX'; I haven't tried these features as my other kit does not support them.

I have been looking for a unit like this for ages and it is everything I hoped for, you see I'm partially deaf and though I have Bluetooth hearing aids with a transmitter to connect to the TV, designed by the manufacturer of the aids but plugs into the earphone socket on the TV, this is great for me but nobody else can hear the TV. So the thing is as useful as a chocolate fireguard, I can't use it unless I'm alone so I need the volume quite high even with the aids so its uncomfortable listening for anyone else as I have a cinema sound system. I spoke to the manufacturer to see if something could be done, this fell on deaf ears ( pardon the pun ). Then I found this little beauty that does everything I need, I can have the Bluetooth connected to my hearing aids plus a second pair of Bluetooth headphones and a bypass to the cinema sound system all working systematically . I have full control of the volume for both Bluetooth outputs on the unit plus the bypassed sound system can be controlled from its remote, so now everyone in the house can listen in comfort. I have used the optical cable between the TV, the unit and the cinema sound system. The range of the Bluetooth is fantastic I went out to my shed which is about 20 meters away through 2 brick walls and the sound never missed a beat. The unit is well made, very neat and compact and certainly an asset to me and my family. A brilliant piece of kit that I would highly recommend if you need up to two headphones plus speakers working systematically.

Ahora que necesitaba otro, he querido probar primero el Kastewill (40 euros) y luego este Oasis-no-plus (60 euros) por ahorramre algo de dinero.La sorpresa negativa de estos dos aparatos (Kastewill y Oasis-no-plus) ha sido que cuando reciben por cable óptico SPDIF no funcionan los botones de subir o bajar el volumen. Lo he comprobado empíricamente, y luego lo he confirmado leyendo los repectivos manuales. El volumen sí se puede regular si está recibiendo por jack, pero no cuando recibe señal por cable óptico SPDIF.Ese es el motivo de que haya tenido que descartar estas dos opciones más económicas, devolviendo los aparatos; y he vuelto a comprar otro <Avantree Oasis Plus> que es más caro pero sí me permite regular el volumen en la configuración que yo utilizo.Yo pensaba que la única diferencia entre el Oasis y el Oasis-Plus era que en el primero la selección del modo By-pass anulaba el funcionamiento normal (bluetooth) pero luego he encontrado una página de Avantree en la que explica múltiples diferencias entre estos dos modelos. El <Avantree Oasis Plus> solucionó ambos problemas, recibiendo la señal del televisor por cable óptico SPDIF (el televisor LG sí permite emitir audio por los altavoces internos y simultaneamente por cable óptico, pero tienes que usar un altavoz APTX LL de baja latencia para que no se note la demora entre el sonido de los altavoces internos y del bluetooth).Luego he comprado otro televisor LG (de oferta) que no tiene emisor bluetooth y necesitaba un aparato que añadiera esa función. Podéis localizar esa página introduciendo en un buscador las palabrasAvantree comparativa Oasis vs Oasis plus.Para completar la reseña diré que lo más negativo de estos aparatos Avantree Oasis es la botonera, que no aporta sensibilidad o respuesta háptica: no hay sonido o vibración que indique cuándo estás pulsando el botón, y por tanto puede ocurrir que no sepas si estás pulsando bien o con suficiente fuerza.Salvo ese fallo de la botonera -que tampoco me parece muy importante-, el resto del aparato es muy correcto. Se instala y se maneja bien. El alcance no es el prometido pero es mucho mejor que el de otros emisores bluetoot. Y tiene dos ventajas adicionales que me parecen importantes: una es que permite emitir bluetooth APTX LL de baja latencia, y la otra es que puede emitir al mismo tiempo a dos dispositivos bluetooth. Por todo ello, yo estoy muy contento.

My wife likes to watch TV in bed to get to sleep. Has done since we married 43 years ago. So I had hooked up a wired connection from the RCA jacks on the TV to a FiFo mini amp, to a pillow speaker with a 3.5 cable. As time goes on the connections get old and the pillow speaker stopped working, so it was time to upgrade. I saw from reviews that Avantree was mostly recommended so bought this bluetooth transmitter with the slumber pillow insert, from the same company. Setup was easy, working first time after I found the on button has to be set to Transmit (TX). The slumber pillow works great with this. One issue is that my TV doesn't have a USB port so had to get a cell phone charger to plug in to the wall jack. That worked fine. The But ... I had a thought that it would provide a bluetooth connection to other devices but that doesn't seem to be the case. I can't see a bluetooth device called Avantree from my phone. I had thought I would have been able to connect the audio to my phone via Bluetooth too but that is no. So its not a true bluetooth in that sense. It does work perfectly with the Avantree Slumber. I contacted support regarding not seeing the bluetooth device from my phone. Working as designed in TX mode. Support was excellent to deal with.

Achat car problème avec Bluetooth de la Nvidia Shield TV 2017 (Souvent en cause interférence de l'USB 3.0 si vous avez une clé usb branché sur la Shield).Parfait que dire de plus. Installation plus que facile, produit de qualité, que ce soit en construction ou logiciel.Fonctionne parfaitement avec mon Sony WH-1000XM3 en Aptx HD, qualité de son parfait mieux que sur ma Shield TV en soit disant LDAC ! Latence mieux aussi que le Bluetooth de la Shield, largement suffisant pour regarder séries et films, je recommande. Incroyable rapport qualité/prix allez-y les yeux fermer.
