I was able to take out the ignition switch and install it directly into my e-bikes (Sailmoto) ignition holder and it was a direct fit! Esay install and it does EVERYTHING it was intended to do! Very happy man here!

I have no complaints about this product as is BUT I had to modify it to work in my situation and wanted to help out anyone who might be trying the same thing: We wanted to replace the simple engine kill rocker switch on my son’s Coleman minibike with a keyed lock. First off, in case anyone is wondering this fits the handlebars just fine, and this 2 wire version is all you need (although the 4 wire could also work). The issue is that on a simple bike with no battery, your engine kill switch OPENS the circuit when the engine is running and CLOSES it when you want to shut off the bike. (Opposite of how a light switch in your home works). The switch works by creating a short circuit, bypassing the spark plug and robbing your engine of spark. If your bike is an e-bike or has a battery ignition, this switch will work fine as is. If, on the other hand, you do NOT have a battery and are using kick or pull start, this keyed lock will work opposite of what you want and will need to be modified to work. Too difficult to explain here but be ready to get into the thing and reengineer it.

Worked PERFECT for a Super 73 custom project. When disassembled, the lock cylinder fits almost perfect in the existing holes on the stem. One pass of electrical tape and it is solid. The removed case was cut down with Dremel, I brought it back in mostly to maintain strain relief on the cable but does give some general protection. The switch itself seems to be a great, with a solid snap between settings. The travel is only 25-30 degrees, much nicer than some 45 degree ignition switches we tried. I’m sure it works as intended for a handlebar mounted switch too. But you’ll still need to buy the push on ends and solder it all together. Fun project!

This thing is junk it works opposite as you need it too. Key won't come out when u want it off and it lets you crank and the engine runs when the key is off and out. Not so universal.

Worked perfect for my sons new Jetson Bolt Pro. Cut the original wire going from the switch to the bike and then strip the 2 wires inside back, then wire the switch in line with the power wire. This only has to be a momentary switch on the Jetson ebikes so once you turn the key and turn it on, you can take the keys out and ride with them in your pocket, you just need to put the keys back in and turn it back on to turn the bike off.

It was plug and play fo ridstar q20 I totally recommend this .

This is an ignition switch, and will only function as a kill switch for a mini bike in reverse operation, meaning engine run is key off (key can be taken out), and engine kill (locked key can’t be removed) which will defeat the purpose of being able to securely leave a bike unattended.
