A powerful addition to migraine toolbox
As someone who has battled chronic migraines for 4 decades, I've tried just about everything. I have to say the Headaterm2 has been a surprisingly powerful addition to my migraine-fighting toolbox. For me, the Headaterm2 has significantly reduced the intensity and frequency of my attacks. I use it at the first sign, and often it can stop it in its tracks or, if not stop, at least lessen its severity. After using it initially to stop attacks, I’ve shifted my daily routine to include it as a daily preventive with short, low intensity sessions every morning. I’ve definitely noticed a difference. I appreciate the non-medicated approach. It takes some getting used to. Best advice I read and used was “lean into it.” The first jolt when you activate it still kind of startles me. But I lay down, turn on a relaxing podcast/music and meditate while it does its thing. It works for me. It's easy to use, and the device itself is surprisingly comfortable to wear. The electrodes it comes with have longevity if you prep your skin as instructed before using and take care of them as directed. And the headband that comes with the Headaterm helps further extend the life of the electrodes. This is much appreciated! Pros: * Simple and intuitive design. Read the instruction booklet. It IS easy to use, once you understand how to use it. The Headaterm device runs for 60 minutes. If I want a shorter session, I activate the device and start a timer on my phone so I know when to turn it off. Not gonna lie, sometimes it feels so good I fall into a lull, turn the timer off and just end up completing a full 60-minute session. Its packaging is fantastic. I haven’t taken it anywhere with me. But it does seem to be built to be able to be used on the go with relative ease. Satisfactory Battery Life. I make sure to charge it after every 4-5 uses. I made the mistake early on of waiting until it was low. The reminders during the session that the battery is low are gentle but definitely impacts my ability to “lean into it” and relax while using. So now I’m very proactive about making sure it’s charged on a regular schedule. Based on my experience, the best charging experience is through computer USB connection. Price. I had my eye on both Headaterm and the higher priced device for some time, evaluating and considering if I wanted to try either one. The higher price of the other device gave me considerable pause. The price point on Headaterm made it a safer choice. I'm quite satisfied with my choice. Size/Weight of Unit: Again, compared to reviews of the other higher priced device, Headaterm appeared smaller and lighter – which is important to me. I’ve never used the other device, but I am VERY happy with how Headaterm performs in this area and am not interested in checking out the other device for comparison. Possible Con: Lack of Programmability/Bluetooth Connectivity: Weighing all the options, I personally don’t find this a con. But some people might. I like the ability to manually control my sessions and not have to deal with bluetooth connectivity issues I've read about with the higher priced device. One frustration averted in my mind. Overall: For me, the Headaterm2 isn't my miracle, but it's a powerful tool. Frankly, it’s one of the best I’ve found in years.

I like it!!
I have been using the Cefaly device for several years, but the battery is beginning to fail. I was going to purchase a other when I came across the HEADATERM2. The electrodes stick well. I have already used the first one a five times and it still adheres properly. The electrodes are easier to handle the my previous device because they have a small non adhesive margin so you don't have to hold it by the adhesive. I just ordered my first pack of replacement electrodes and WOW! they are much more affordable. The unit itself if smaller than my previous and more lightweight. That is a good thing because it is less likely to pull the electrode off my forehead because of its weight and gravity. Headaterm2 also comes with a simple strap that you can place around your head to keep the electrode in place. GREAT idea! I was using medical tape to secure the electrodes of my other device. The unit is simple to operate. I find the sensation very soothing. This is a great addition to my migraine toolkit.

TOTALLY DEFECTIVE!!
Per some reviews it sounds like this is actually effective if the product physically functions! Be sure this product actually turns on right away and don't expect it to work long if you do get it to work . The product never worked for me. I checked it out when I got it. I thought it wasn't charged, set it aside for a few months. Needed it one day and put it on the charger for several hours and never took a charge. There are so many returns on this in the reviews. I'm sure I've got someone's return.... Better off going to the actual website vs ordering these off Amazon. I'm sure they're just recycling the returns.

Not a complete cure but reduces length of attacks
It's not an immediate cure but without it migraines would go on all night and now they seem to be able to be shut down after a few hours. My kid brings it with her on trips so it must be worth the effort. She's only used it a few times but using an alcohol pad on the forehead seems to be working to extend the life of the electrode. This seems to be an inexpensive alternative to the very expensive brand names.

Finally, Real Migraine Relief – No Shocks, No App, No Regrets
I’ve been using the Headaterm-2 since April, and it’s been a complete game-changer for my migraines. I took it to my neurologist last week and told him it’s the best device I’ve ever used. His office wrote down all the information to share with other patients—especially those who haven’t had success with expensive TENS units like Cefaly. If you’ve been searching for real, lasting migraine relief without sky-high prices or harsh side effects, this is the device to try. I highly recommend the Headaterm-2. The quality is excellent—it comes in a compact, zippered case and is small and lightweight, unlike bulkier devices that feel heavy or awkward on the forehead. It includes a well-designed headband that holds the device securely in place, even if you lean forward. The band is a bit snug at first, but it does stretch with time and becomes more comfortable. Charging is simple with the included USB-C cord (you’ll need your own charging block, which is pretty standard these days). One of the best features? No app required like Cefaly. You control everything directly from the device—check battery level, increase or decrease intensity—all with easy tap controls while it’s on your forehead. No tech issues, no app crashes, just reliable performance. The instructions are clear, easy to follow, and written in proper English (not poorly translated). It comes with three electrodes, and each one lasts about 10 sessions. I’ve found a little water on the electrode pad works just fine for adhesion if you need it. When it’s time to reorder, you’ll get your electrodes directly from the Canadian company. I highly recommend signing up for their Subscribe & Save program—it saves money, and the electrodes are far more affordable than those from Cefaly. All in all, this device delivers gentle but effective relief. It’s smartly designed, budget-friendly, and—most importantly—it works. After decades of migraines and trying everything else, I finally feel like I have my life back.

I wanted to carefully evaluate this device…
I took my time evaluating this device. I’ve had it for 4 months and I have been impressed. The design is beautiful and perfectly thought out. It is so easy to charge and I have only needed to charge it a few times. The included magnetic case is brilliant and makes it easy store, while also keeping the electrode pads fresh. I was very worried about needing to re-purchase pads but these electrodes last a really long time. Initially, I was a bit put off by needing an hour for the treatment. However, I soon discovered that it’s so easy to use that I’m happy to relax before bed with it on. I do feel that the HeadaTerm has been a helpful tool in preventing migraines. My migraine frequency has gone down while several of my triggers have increased, so that counts as a win. For acute migraine treatment, I am mostly positive about the device, but I have had a migraine where I just could not deal with putting on the device. Overall, I would absolutely buy this device again. It is a great, drug-free tool and at this price point, it’s a ganga! Note to future users: learn how to turn it down or off before applying it to the forehead. I had a little freak out and tried to rip it off when I turned the intensity up too high, but then it stuck to my fingers - LOL.

It Didn’t Work For Me
This product did not work for my migraines. I was hoping it would give me some relief, but it did not. Sometimes I think it even triggered a worst migraine. The product is just not for me. I was really hoping it would work. Great packaging and the company seems great and has good intentions.

Wow!
This device is amazing although I must admit to referring to it as the torture machine haha. I have been using it for just over a week now and using it numerous times a day for chronic migraines. I had no idea my head was that painful until I started to use this and felt the relief. It does say that you can get up to 10 uses from one strip however I have found that making sure my skin is cleaned and clean the strip afterwards, keeps it working fine. I haven't had to change it yet and have used it for quite a few hours. A bit of hand sanitiser does the trick to clean it as long as you are careful. My one gripe is the battery doesn't last long however it would be a much larger unit if it did so I am happy enough. I have noticed that the pain is not nearly as intense now that I have used it for a while so something is working. It doesn't pull so much on the muscles round my eyes and forehead so they are easing off. The box is great to keep everything together and the headband makes sure it stays in place once the stickiness has worn off a bit. No wires means that you can carry on with your day. I do tend to turn it up to what is almost intolerable but after a couple of minutes the pain isn't nearly so bad and I can relax, to a degree, again. If you suffer migraines, I wouldn't hesitate to try this rather remarkable little gadget. Any relief without medication has to be positive although it may not suit everyone. My only query really i,s if it is sold as a medical device, why is there no ability to claim zero tax but it is a Canadian product so perhaps that is the reason.

battery problem
The Heada Term-2 had been purchased last November 2025. In January the device could not be charged anymore. The company stated that they have an improved battery version with enhanced endurance. They confirmed that device is still under their quality warranty. 4th of March I asked again for a replacement shipment. The answer was “please rest assured that the shipment is progressing normally”. Until today the 25th of March no sign of a replacement shipment.

Helpful Migraine and Neuropathy Remedy
The Headaterm 2 was purchased to alleviate occasional migraines, but, more so, to help with unexplained forehead neuropathy or Trigeminal Neuralgia. Initially, the Cefaly device was recommended by a Neurosurgeon; however, after discovering this device at a much lower price and being more compact than the Cefaly, together with the high reviews, I ordered it. Upon receiving the product, I noticed that it was packaged and presented nicely. As long as the forehead is clean, the electrode adheres well, and, after use, wetting it slightly before storage in its packet seems to prolong its life. My package included a few electrodes. More so, the Headaterm device adheres sturdily to the electrode, and I did not find the included headband necessary. Using the Headaterm is comfortable and effective. The appropriate intensity level, adjusted by pushing the button on the device, is obvious, as higher settings feel too intense. Using it even every other day feels effective at reducing my forehead sensations, and preventing severe migraines. This device, or any similar device, does not provide a cure, but it helps, albeit for a reasonable price. Customer service by the manufacturer is prompt, helpful, courteous, and friendly too. As such, I recommend this device to help with migraines and forehead neuropathy, especially over the much more expensive and seemingly cumbersome competition!

Works well and I've been able to reduce my use of medications
It has reduced the frequency and severity of my migraines and I have been able to reduce my medication use. The first time I used it I could only tolerate power level 3 (of 9). Now when I start the treatment I go directly to power level 7 and step up to level 9 over the next few minutes. After I had progressed to the higher level sessions I noticed the headache prevention benefits. When I get a migraine I still take my triptan (Maxalt) but I can often skip my pain killer (Fiorinal). One time I even had a migraine without the headache. I had noise sensitivity but no headache and was able to get by without any meds! The electrodes last longer than I expected, especially if you rinse them under the tap if they start to get less sticky. The head strap allows you to use the electrodes even longer.
