DON'T GO 3rd PARTY - THEY REALLY ARE WORTH IT
So your Shure IEM cable has finally broken and you're wondering whether or not you should cheap out and buy a 3rd party cable - 1 word: DON'T!My journey with Shure started with a pair of SE315's 4 years ago. I'm now onto the SE535's (which are absolutely PHENOMENAL by the way)I actually bought the pair second hand for £200, I didn't ask the seller how long he'd owned them for (hindsight is a brilliant thing) I wish I had though just so I could get an accurate representation of how good, no great, these cables are!He could've owned them 1/2/3/4+ years before I bought them and all I can say is, I bought them second hand in very early 2018 and have only had to replace the cable once, just over a month ago (March 2020), and it's worth noting despite my shame to admit, I don't look after these very well. They've been thrown around, put in my pockets, sat on, slept on, left around, and the cable just will not break! It even had a little tear in the mould able wire by the left ear for the best part of a year and they just wouldn't stop working, saying that I distinctly remember a point where they actually had stopped working on the wide with the tear for a few days, then one day I just tried them again and poof, they worked! It was like witchcraft! These cables are tough, like really REALLY tough, they transmit audio clearly, and honestly just don't cheap out. I can't stress it enough, this will last you years. It's worth the money (it's not even a lot of money) do yourself and buy themPro tip: If you do replace the cable, keep the old one for reselling purposes as it has the original serial number on, incase you decide to sell them later down the line.

This is a great replacement cable. New Shure 425s for thirty quid! Cheaper than ebay! :-)
I use my headphones almost every day. I bought this cable as a replacement for the original cable 18 months ago. It has been great, so sign of damage yet, and as my Shure 425s are awesome it is as if I am paying a reasonable amount of money for a new pair of headphones. I am very impressed by the longevity of this cable. The headphones I have had since at least 2012 when I raised an RMA for a fault on these. So about three years per cable. And boy do they sound good. BTW I do not look after this cable, it is wound around the iPod, shoved in a pocket or in a backpack. I recommend these wholeheartedly.

Small but significant improvement?
This cable is a replacement for a replacement...the one with the in line controls for the iphone, which didn't do much other than pause the music on my Android phone, but at the time the original cable was not available. The iphone cable was a bit of a disaster, with the cable sheath splitting/fraying at both buds and at the jack. The cable itself was much thinner than the original. This cable is much sturdier and true to the original thickness of the cable that shipped with the buds initially. Shure have upgraded the cable with a stiff but flexible strip at the connection with the buds, which allows you to mould the cable around your ears and retain this shape, reducing the movement of the cable in this area. This was an occasional problem previously as the cable could slip if you moved your head downwards and had a tendency to irritate and inflame the skin behind the ear. The new sheathing makes inserting the buds easier to insert and more comfortable around the ears. Hopefully this will also lengthen the life of the cable, though I've only had it a month so judgement is reserved.A word of praise for the shipper, EC Crescent, who sent these from the US with free postage, arriving within 5 days of ordering. I believe these are no longer being manufactured by Shure, and would advise grabbing them while they are still available, as the alternatives on offer just ain't up to scratch

So far, so good
My original se425 cable lasted a good few years with the only problem being that the still wire by the ear piece snapped. The cable itself didn’t develop any fault and still works now. Before replacing with new shure cable, opted for an after market cable with food reviews, better construction and cheaper price however, straight away, there was an obvious negative difference in sound quality so ended up just going back to the original rather than potenitally wasting time with trial and error. As far as my experience goes, the price has been justified through sound quality. The shure replacement sounds a lot better than the after market cable I tried. Will see if it lasts or whether it lives up to some of the negative reviews due to poor build quality.

Perfect
I ordered a cheap copy first time and it was total rubbish. Just buy this and you're sorted, just the same as the original cable.

My last Shure cable lasted a while, i'm expecting the same from these!
Bought as a replacement for my other cable that had broken. Good quality, and sound is not compromised. The other cable had lasted a while, so i'm expecting the same from these!

Official Replacement
For those wondering, this is the official replacement cable for Shure IEMs. I purchased this replacement cable for my Shure 425 IEMs, as the left cable had split and broken, causing sound loss in my earphones. While I'm happy to have found to have found this official replacement at a fair price, it would be better if the cables could endure a little more wear and tear. While I gig regularly the cable on my original pair has only lasted just over 2 years, which is poor for IEMs costing over £300.

They work. They're long.
They don't improve the sound of the Shure IEMs that I use them with. I mostly use them on the airplane under my over-the-ear Bose. The wires seem stout but I don't abuse them.

Nice replacement cable
This is a nice replacement cable. Right off the bat I noticed the thickness of the cable is thinner than the original cable that came with my Shure215's. I think I like that it's more light weight, but if it does not last as long as my last cable (8 years) i'll say the thinner cable is an issue. Compared to my new Westone IEMS, the cable thickness is about the same. I chose the shorter cable because my original cable always seemed too long. This will function great without me having to tuck the excess cable into my back pocket. Replacing the cable was harder than I expected because the old set was crazy stuck on both drivers. I could not just pull gently and have them release like many videos suggested. I actually had to grab the ends with needle nose pliers and apply pretty good force to get the old cables off due to dust over the years. Plugging in the new shorter cable on the other hand was super easy. They clicked in easily and the sound is as should be expected. A good affordable way to keep your Shure215 IEMS alive.

Outstanding durabillity
Nearly 2 years of daiiy use and just now having to replace them. The metallic sheath surrounding the wire inside has oxidized--turning completely green (I live in a humid climate), and the plastic where the cable connects to the 3.5mm cracked open. It still works but it seems like it's high time for replacement.Would glady purchase this cable again.
