Perfect! Works with 8TB SSD.
Finally an excellent product. This is based on my initial impressions. I needed a case to house a raw 8TB SSD and most of the others I came across 4TB limits for some odd reason. I also needed something that can move data fast as this will be used for holding 4K drone videos & pictures. So with my very anemic micro-PC with a 17W TDP processor & 24GB memory, It maxed out at 320MB/s. I'm fairly certain it's not possible on my machine but this is good enough for me. I was worried about the built-in USB-C cable but it appears fairly durable and is adequately long enough to do the job with no frustration. And honestly, if it gets damaged I'll just buy another case at only $20. Don't waste you time with the cheap junk. Also, My Samsung SSD fit nearly perfect but had a bit of a gap to the removable top. They include a little piece of foam which does the trick. But I also had about a 1/4" gap on the bottom which I am slightly worried (probably unfounded) it might come loose with a tail strike so I took a thin piece of UHB tape, left the wrap on the top side, and just folded it over and jammed in in the gap. It's not anywhere now LOL. It does seem to be mostly waterproof so make sure the metal cover is tightened enough without stripping out the screws.

Just Impressive
I had an extra Samsung 860 EVO SSD that I wanted to turn into an external USB-C drive so I thought I'd give this product a shot - I'm glad I did.My main concerns when researching were the drive rattling around in the enclosure, durability, and speed. This enclosure passed with flying colors.I first noticed that it was extremely well-constructed and looked very rugged without being too bulky. putting the drive in was easy and when installed, it was very secure. One thing of note is that the SSD I put in is thinner than most 2.5" drives, so I was delighted to find a foam pad in the packaging that adheres to the inside of the silver casing to make sure it is secure. This was a nice touch. After I got the drive installed (took about 2 minutes), I proceeded to shake, rattle, drop and step on the enclosure. I am pleased to report that there was no rattle at all, nor any damage. The drive is very firmly held and I'm confident this enclosure will last a very long time and stand up to abuse from travel and drops. As far as performance, it is as fast as if the drive was installed internally in a SATA port. The speed test meets the drive's rated performance through sequential read and write tests, even with low block sizes and other rigorous tests. I was able to move a 10GB file from the desktop of my MacBook Pro and back in a matter of seconds.Lastly, the cable built into the unit is very high quality. It wraps around the enclosure very nicely and I don't have any concerns about the longevity or durability of the cable itself.Overall, this is an extremely high quality enclosure and I would recommend it to anyone. I'm excited to try out their NVMe enclosure soon.I will update if I find any issues with the long-term durability of the enclosure, but if there is not an update, you can assume it's performing as stated here.

Fantastic SSD Enclosure That's Quite Rugged
I owned a UGREEN SSD enclosure prior to this one and I found this after trying to look for an enclosure that has a built-in cable. This fit my requirements, and for only $20 I was happy to try it out.Man. I wish I had bought this years ago. After many years of cables unplugging from enclosures and having to worry at all times that the plastic would break from a simple drop, this enclosure is far beyond those in functionality and durability. The cable fits into the side of the enclosure very nicely and the silicon is relatively tough. We will have to see how it does long-term but right now it seems to be good.Pros:- Durable silicon side/metal enclosure- Built-in USB-C cable- Metal cap with screws- Plug and play- Status/activity LED is beneath the silicon, so you can't see it physically but can see the lightCons:- Terribly small included screwdriver, you'll want to grab another one or else kill your hands

Works great do far
Works extremely well with my external SATA SSD drive so far. Will update review if problems arise.

Great speed capabilities
My enclosure just arrived, and I decided to do some disk speed tests in my previous enclosure (Inateck USB-3 enclosure) before installing the drive in the new ineo. The Inateck averaged around 280MB/s write and 365MB/s read. I knew this drive could do closer to 480MB/s read as it was previously internally installed.Once I put the drive into the ineo enclosure the write averages remained around the same (probably due to the drive's own limitations), but the read speeds jumped up to 480MB/s! That's around a 30% speed increase which I'm sure will be quite noticeable. The quality of the case is great, and it's nice that the cable attaches around the perimeter of the case with the plug tucked into a pocket in the rubbery shock guard. For travel it's really nice and clean as opposed to having cable hanging off and getting tangled up in things. For a recent MacBook Pro it's great to have the USB-C cable as well so a hub becomes unnecessary (at least for this peripheral). The only negative thing I can say at this point is that while the built in cable does keep things nice and clean for transport, it does mean that if something starts to go bad inside the cable you can't just replace it. You'd need to actually replace the enclosure at that point (at $20 is that really such a big deal should the problem arise?).
