GRIM REAPER 1973 X-Bow Mechanical Broadhead Razortip 1 1/2" Cut 3 Blade 100gr

Decided to purchase a Crossbow and thought I may have a problem tuning my arrows with broadheads. I am using a Horton Storm RDX(reverse limbs). Anyway I sighted in my field tips and then I used the practice Broadhead and it was off at 40 yards about 0ne inch to the left. Made the adjustment to my scope. I then shot the real deal and it flew great.Took out Two Bucks both over Two Hundred pounds. One eleven pointer and one nine. Distance was 30 and 35 yards and both were double lunged. Results were exactly the same, they both jumped and ran about 15 yards and just stopped. I watched them and in seconds they started to wobble and down they went. Honestly I don't think they felt a thing. The release of the Bolt probably spooked them more than the hit. I feel great because I do not think you could anymore humane than that. Huge exit wounds and all blades opened.

Use Grim Reaper broad heads for over 20 years now and never let me down. Highly recommend use on my compound and cross bow. Great product!

Great but how many broad heads come in this now? is it 1? or 3?

I switched to crossbow this year and these Grim Reaper X-Bow broadheads did their job. The blades a pretty sensitive to nicks and stress though. For example, I missed on one shot and just hitting the leaves and dirt left one blade nicked bad enough to replace. The one that went through the deer had one bent blade and one that was also nicked. I tried to bend it back straight, but it broke. I bought a GR rebuild kit and we're back in business though.I was a little concerned when I found the pass-through broadhead in a closed position on the ground. But then found out that the deceleration will close them - and upon inspection, I did find that the blade had opened all the way through as it should.

I read a lot of reviews on these before buying them. I found the negative reviews to be short after using them. They performed excellent with plenty of blood left behind to follow, not that you need it. The animals I shot with it stayed within eye sight when they dropped. They opened well every time, and they went right through. I use it with my crossbow, and the practice tip they send with the three Broadheads is great for getting on target, however it does not always perform like the real broadheads. I recommend these for any hunter who wants to bag his target every time. I believe most of the negative reviews may have been human error, or lack of maintenance on the owners part. Also great price and fast shipping.

I took my first deer with these this season. The deer string jumped on me and I ended up nicking the liver with a bad shot. Even with such a bad shot she only ran about 10 yards and laid down. I waited 15 minutes to go over and she was dead. I will definitely be using these again this coming season and expect to have good results. I did not have a good blood trail to follow, but that is likely due to the terrible shot; I didn't need one anyway though. Even with the bad shot she never ran out of sight, just 10 yards over to a tree and that was it. When I inspected the broadhead, it was undamaged and still plenty sharp to use again. It passed clean through the hind quarter and opened as expected.
