How do you dispose of the used bag? Is there a way of reusing them ?

No can't be reused, inner flap makes that very difficult, I just put them in the bin,but then they last along time,Still using the first bag after 4 or five months.

model and serial numbers on our miele cleaner are: 55231 and 55/99587834. will it fit.

I have checked the box of filters I have and I am not sure. On the box I have S400i, - S456i, S600 - S658, S800 - S858, S2000 - S2999, S5000 - S5999 and S8000 - S8999

Will this fit sgdf3 model cleaner?

Not sure....I had to check what it said on box as ours was for cat and dog
