DESLOC B200 Fingerprint Smart Door Lock, Keyless Entry Deadbolt

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I've had this for 7 months and have been wanting to review it but got side tracked. It's fine because it just prolonged my experience with it. This lock has been amazing. I don't have experience with other smart locks to compare it to, but I read reviews on all the top smartlocks out there, watched plenty of youtube videos and I went with this one. It's incredible, not just for the price but all the other options such as the 2 fobs in case I have family come visit me, the Fingerprint biometrics, the physical keys as well as personal Pin codes. Not many others had all of those options. The fingerprint scan is super fast and rarely errors unless you carelessly try to touch it without placing your finger directly on it. The fingerprint surface doesn't look like someone would be able to raise a finger print off of it. The battery last very long. The only thing that you would have to worry about is the door not being fully closed, because the bolt will try to lock and a light alarm will beep. If you leave it like that for a very long time, it will probably drain the battery as it keeps trying to close. The app is nice. I get alerts every time someone comes home and opens the door. It tells me the name of the person that is using the finger print or code, so you have a log with times. You can create a temporary pin, in case you are going to go out of town for a day or two and want a family member or neighbor to come and peak on the pets or something. If you have an Airbnb it would be perfect as well. Don't let the price fool you to thinking it's cheap, it's not. Build quality is great, features are awesome. I would expect it to cost more. I'm glad it doesn't. Easy to install and the app was pretty simple as well. The ONLY con would be, if you want to have more than one finger print per person, you would have to add a new user rather than each each being allowed to store more than one fingerprint. You should be able to have at least 2. You don't really need more than one finger from each hand, in case you are carrying something and your right or left thumb is being used to hold something. But it's not a huge deal at all. The good far out weighs that one con.

I used this to replace a Google Nest unit, and this unit works a treat. The fingerprint works really well. I love the NFC card scanner, and the code works really well. The key is smooth. Installation was a breeze, and all of the hardware is built very well, with the alignments of the screws and everything else being flawless. It took me 5 minutes to install. I wish the app was a little bit better, but one thing that I do like about it is that, once you configure everything, it is not required to be connected to the internet. That's one of the things I was really concerned about. It requires a smartphone for initial setup, which is done all through Bluetooth, not via Wi-Fi. After that, you can delete the app if you want. Now, if you do that, you won't be able to change your fingerprints and whatnot, so I don't recommend it. The point is that it's not an IoT piece of hardware; you actually own it. The door handle looks really good. Very well made, very sturdy, and very heavy-duty. All the components were of good quality steel, and I was surprised at the quality of it for the price, because I would have expected it to be closer to a $200 to $250 item. I think I paid like $90 for it, so the value is there. It has a better value than my Google Nest products, I will say that.

Locked out and forgot your old school physical key? no problem, use the key fob. forgot the key fob? no problem, use your phone app forgot your phone? no problem, use the number code forgot the number code? no problem, use your figure print? forgot your finger?.... you got other problems... It just works. The installation instructions are super clear. Every baggie of parts is labeled. The app is intuitive with a ridiculous amount of options/flexibility. (Batteries not included. Some assembly required)

update- they contacted me and sent me a new lock! It works great! I bought this door lock in January, installed it and it just won’t work anymore 9 months later. The batteries died and I have changed them out 4 different times and it just won’t turn on anymore. I’ve been on hold with their troubleshooting is customer service and it’s been 10+ minutes and still not a person has answered. (Like you have a call center that’s tied up 🤭) Don’t waste your money on this product

This lock was very robust in its capabilities. All parts were clearly labeled and installation was only a few minutes. I was able to connect to the app to change a lot of the settings. finger print reader, contactless card reader and keypad worked great.There are some remote monitoring features that require a subscription, but I never needed them. Excellent product

This lock makes it nearly impossible to get locked out of your house. It supports most any unlocking method that you can think of, my favorite being the fingerprint. Spy-type stuff haha. The price is much more competitive than other options, and the quality feels just as good. Installation was easy, and it fits right where the old lock was. It looks pretty decent. Once authenticated, it's fast to unlock, too. It also works completely offline if you'd like, so you never have to expose it to the internet if you don't want to.

I'm going to give you the Big Secret to doing this. You need a phillips screwdriver, and I recommend also a small standard/slotted one, plus a bit of patience because there is some trial and error because every door is different, but it's a simple process. Here's the "key" - after each step, take that little standard screwdriver and manually make sure your locking mechanism goes smoothly. If it does not, NOW is the time, before the next step, to tweak the hardware a bit. It's easy, I promise. Two of my doors are VERY old and don't line up perfectly, but I made it work with a bit of maneuvering and some slight wood shaving (with a box cutter, that is how slight it was) . The hardware went in on my modern door smooth as butter. Mechanically, I have one very old door that requires holding onto the handle while using this system, otherwise it won't function, but to be fair, the old standard deadbolt was the same way and this is actually a lot more convenient. It's the door, not the lock. In terms of the lock system itself - on all three, sometimes I have to hit "lock" a couple of times for it to do it, but that might be my technique. I'm still working on that. The app process was straightforward too. It connected quickly and the instructions were easy to follow. I like that it allows multiple ways to access and multiple options for who gets access to which doors, in case that is important to you, and also - one time use codes for guests. For the money, this is a great system. I can't comment on how long the batteries last because I've only had mine in for a week. I suppose it depends on how often one uses the system.

Not bad. Once you figure out the programming it works for the most part. I'm a bit iffy with the codes. They're programmed and worked initially, but it's either I keep forgetting the process or the lock doesn't like me because after a while it says my code failed. All other means of entry work excellently though. It maintains Bluetoothconnectivity very well. I use the app. Like how it says what it's doing ai I don't turn off the sound, although I can. The keyboard lights up excellently. Oh...pay attention. The handle doesn't lock. It's just a handle with a bolt.

I love these locks, I now have 3 plus the gateway and it works with my Alexa so I can just tell Alexa to lock my doors at night without walking through the house to lock them myself. This will be our first winter so I can't comment on their durability in cold weather but we did have a short cold snap and they seem to working great. They were exceptionally easy to install and program. The instructions were easy to follow. My whole family have their fingerprints stored which is awesome for young kids who may not remember the code, OR tell the whole neighborhood what the code is lol. This way, they never need know what the code is and our privacy and safety are protected. It does have keys and cards but we haven't used those yet as the fingerprint function works well and is so convenient

I bought this lock to replace a deadbolt between the garage access door to the house. With the old lock it was very inconvenient to fish out the physical keys to unlock the door. This lock is TTLock compatible and uses the TTLock app for lock management. The TTLock app is very capable and has everything anyone can imagine for managing one or more locks, including locking, unlocking, setting up new codes and fingerprints, checking the battery level, and checking the log of access. The lock communicates via bluetooth to the phone. This means that the phone has to be in reasonable close physical proximity to the lock for management. If you need remote management a G2 (or G3) gateway is required. I prefer locks with bluetooth access over wifi access because bluetooth consumes far less battery life. I have not had this lock long enough to validate the claims of battery life but so far it seems pretty good. Pros: Has all the features claimed, installs easily, is TTLock compatible, works well. Cons: These cons are minor and most were not a surprise. The manufacturer supplies 2 physical keys. They used to supply 5 keys. Not a huge deal as the keys can be copied but it was not clear to me as I needed at least 3 keys. The exterior facade comes in a choice of silver or black but the interior-facing facade is only black. It would have been nice if the interior and exterior color matched. The reset button is prominent and too easily accessible. It is on the inside just above the lock turning lever. In my opinion it should be recessed and require a tool such as a paper clip to press otherwise there is a risk of someone accidentally resetting the lock or someone who is not familiar with the button resetting the lock. The lock does not register manual opening events with the TTLock application. For example if the lock is unlocked from the interior by physically turning the lever, that does not show in the Record log on TTLock. Overall a good lock and I would recommend it.
