Do I need to soak the grilling planks before using them?

Yes! Soaking your planks for at least 15 minutes before grilling helps prevent them from catching fire and creates steam that enhances the flavor of your food.

What types of food can I cook on a grilling plank?

While planks are most commonly used for salmon, they’re also great for other fish, meats, vegetables, and even cheeses and desserts!

Can I use these planks on a gas or charcoal grill?

Absolutely! Our grilling planks work great on both gas and charcoal grills. Just be sure to monitor the heat and have a spray bottle of water handy in case of flare-ups.

Will the plank burn on the grill?

Edges or uncovered portions of the grilling planks may flare up. Keep a cup of water or a spray bottle on hand for flare-ups. As always, do not leave your grill unattended. For best results, fully cover the plank with your food.

Can I use a grilling plank in the oven?

Yes! Plank cooking isn’t just for the grill - you can use planks in the oven for a delicious wood-smoked flavor. Just place the soaked plank on a baking sheet and cook as usual.
