I'm using this paper to create type samples of vintage thermal typewriters. There are two benefits. First is that one does not need to use the generally unobtainable thermal transfer wax ribbons. The the second benefit is that direct thermal produces sharper characters than the wax ribbons. The heat that melts the wax for each dot / pixel also melts a little bit more area than direct thermal without the ribbon. On one hand, the sharpness lets one precise examine the characters printed and let's shows off the character matrix, jagged corners and curves and all. On the other hand, the melted wax softens the character a bit. Anyhow, the paper itself is doing a great job for the intended purpose. Just remember to take out your ribbon cartridge. The paper is reasonably sensitive and works perfectly well with all of my machine. By my estimation, I would say the darkness is like 80% which is adequate. I'd love a version with higher sensitivity but again, this is adequate. If you can, you may need to set the darkness to the darkest setting to send more energy into the paper, to produce darker more 'contrasty' output. BT recommended

This paper feeds flawlessly and gives clear, smudge-free prints. Perfect size for receipts, labels, or quick notes on the go. Detailed experience note: Ran 80 sheets through my portable printer on trips and at home — no jams when loaded straight. Prints are crisp and fade-resistant. Only tiny ding is once it wrinkles even slightly it'll mess up the print, but for the price and volume it’s a winner!

I bought a portable thermal printer that came with a roll of paper. I only use my printer to print requisitions that my doctor emails to me but every time I cursed the paper because of how much it rolls up. I bought this thermal paper and it’s an absolute game changer. I love it! I bought the single sheets to feed through the back of the printer and everything worked perfectly. The paper came through smoothly, the print was good and no curling paper. I wish I had discovered this paper months ago. A little tip……if the paper comes out blank turn it over and print again. There’s a wrong and right side to the paper for printing. I highly recommend this thermal paper. I bought a pack of 100 sheets which will last me a long time.

Fabulous printer! Fast, dark, clear printing. I like that it's portable too. So easy to take with me when away, or simply bringing it into another room. I definitely recommend this thermal printer.
