Having already owned the 8BitDo Retro NES-Style mechanical keyboard, I just had to get this Commodore 64-style keyboard for the my other PC desktop that sits on my home office desk. I seldom use the numeric keypad, so not having one wasn't going to be an issue. What's most important to me is the joy of using the keyboard and the tactile nature of the "clack clack clack" when you type on the keys. That joyful feel of pressing the keys, I'll never go back to a membrane keyboard again. I'm unlikely to use the joystick and the programmable buttons, it's really the keyboard I was after. For me, this feels like an authentic C64 experience because I remember the gradient and height of the C64 keys weren't particularly conducive to fast, error-free, comfortable typing. This 8BitDo keyboard feels very similar. If I was spending hours and hours typing up written reports etc, I would personally opt for the 8BitDo Retro NES-Style mechanical keyboard because that does feel more comfortable from my experience. But if you only type in bursts, then this keyboard will fire up all your nostalgic brain neurons and take you back to more simpler, low tech era. If that's what you're after, then look no further than the awesome C64 mechanical keyboard !

Absolutely awesome keyboard. Really easy setup out of the box. Typing on it feels awesome, and it's super responsive. Great feedback and feel, and the keyboard is solid and set at a great typing angle. Of course, it's got a great vintage aesthetic, and really evokes a nostalgic and calming feel when I use it and see it on my desk. I'm excited to use more features and set up the included buttons and joystick.

筐体の作りがよく、ちょっと押した程度ではしなったりしません。キーはカチカチ、コツコツという感触のクリッキーな感じです。私が買ったC64 Editionはキーキャップが二色成型です。SAのキーキャップは慣れないとちょっと打ちにくいように感じますがまずレトロ感重視なのでこれも歓迎です。F5～F8の上にある「8bitDo」の銘板は、文字部分は銀色のメッキに斜めの細かい線が刻んであり、見る角度によっては虹色に見えるという凝り具合です。思わずニヤリとしました。右の側面には弱い磁石が入っていて同じシリーズのテンキーとゆるくくっつくようになっています。
