Not for getting started!
Getting Started With Microsoft Office Starter 2010 (Word & Excel) is hopelessly inadequate for getting started, and is suitable only for the experienced already familiar with the system. There is immense detail for those wishing to make a career of exploiting the depths and detail of the programme; nothing for those wishing to get started.Anyone can have my new £25 book for £10.

"Getting started with Microsoft Office Starter 2010"
I found this book reasonably helpful but found the change to Windows 7 from Windows XP which have used up to now quite difficult as the book made no comparisons for help

Excellent Product!
When I got my new computer I was somewhat puzzled,as I am of the ancient school of thought and know only the world of Word 97. What is a Ribbon was the first question? Having bought this book I can find the answers for myself. SO if this is your first venture into Starter 2010, worry not but get the book, read it as you do the mouse work and have some fun learning. Starter is enough for the work that I do in my research and I would not upgrade to the full programe, so I would say, Many Thanks Dr. Murphy for making my computer experiences absolutely GREAT!
