Hellboy Library Volume 4: The Crooked Man And The Troll Witch

The 4th volume of Hellboy Library Edition consists of several short and two long stories featuring our super cool protagonist. I have read the previous three fantastic volumes and this is no doubt a good addition to this series. It is the first volume where other artists got the opportunity to do the drawing for the stories. There are ten stories in this volume. The first and the longest one is "The Crooked Man" which is my personal favourite.The Art of Richard Corben vividly capture the grotesque nature of the story with its surrealistic tone. Really beautiful.There are also some signature Mignola stories like "The Troll Witch", "The Vampire of Prague", In Chapel of Moloch" etc. Highly enjoyable.

In one of the stories that stick with me most from the Mignola verse, the image of the Crooked Man coming to confront Hellboy is still one of my favorites. The book came in excellent condition and is a frequent reread of mine.

Il volume è di altissima qualità, carta molto spessa, copertina rigida, costruzione estremamente solida. Purtroppo è arrivato molto impolverato e senza il cellophane esterno, il che fa pensare ad un articolo usato. Non farò il reso in quanto comunque arrivato in buone condizioni (cosa purtroppo decisamente non scontata), ma acquistando un articolo nuovo sarebbe bello avere la certezza che arrivi tale, e possibilmente integro, magari anche con un minimo di imballaggio oltre il semplice strato di cartone in cui vengono spediti solitamente.

Un bon vieux Clasique de la BD qui était peu connue avant les films.Excellent, thème, ambiance et personnage. Je dessin varie d'un artiste a l'autre, mais ça reste un très bon recueille.Belle couverture, noir en tissus ça fait chic
