Provides the perfect amount of light when going up or down the stairs. My guest love them. Easy to install per my electrician. They are discrete and looks great. These are hardwired and the function does just what they need to do.

The Cloudy Bay step lights work and look great, excellent value, and are easy to install into a standard 2x4 electrical box. There are 5 Kelvin settings to choose from on some models and they can be dimmed.

Easy to install, looks great and dimmable

Overall I am happy with these lights. I replaced the lights installed in boxes in concrete walls around my outdoor patio. The LEDs in original lights faced horizontally with a louvered cover plate. The light they cast was unpleasant and leakage around the louvers shined in our eyes while sitting around the patio. The light cast by these Cloudy Bay lights is much better and the LEDs inside the light point down and don't shine in our eyes while sitting on the patio. One complaint: the design is susceptible to corrosion. See the attached photo. I had two lights out of twelve fail due to corrosion. I ended up using a bead of silicone calk behind the cover plate to block out moisture. So far no more failures. If you plan to use these lights outdoors make sure they are protected from moisture.

We ordered these lights for the stairways in our house that is currently under construction. It is very important to us that the color temperature of all the lights match, so these being 3000K made them an easy choice. Since the house is still under construction, we wired one up in place of an existing outlet where we live now. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of light they put out, and the color is nice and warm. We left it on all night and the next morning it was only slightly warm to the touch. They ARE dimmable, so if the light ends up being too bright we can always add a dimmer to the circuit for a fully custom brightness. Of course I can't speak to longevity yet, but when we get them installed I'll come back and add photos and an update. Installation does require an electrical box, but otherwise they are easy to install with a simple Hot-Common-Ground three wire hookup. All wire nuts and hardware is included in the box. Nice lights, great price, delivered quickly and as described. Addendum, three years later and these lights are still going strong. We leave them on 24/7 and they haven't skipped a beat.

After looking at a lot of different choices on Amazon, I selected these lights to replace some very old, worn out lights. I'm glad I did---the construction of these lights is solid and they install easily. The outer cover snaps on, which caused me some trepidation for durability, but after I caulked in the top and side seams to the brick wall (with clear caulk), they look even better and are very secure. The down light is soft and warm, perfect for the outdoor patio. Recommend.

I've had these installed on the exterior of our house siding, facing the north side. While these do look fabulous with their warm lighting and they do put out enough light to see your way. I'm disappointed in the finish and the longevity. We have had these installed for almost 7 years and out of the nine we have installed, 2 of them have burned out and needed replacing. Also, the finish on these (oil rubbed bronze) has faded significantly. Since these are on the north side of our house, they don't get any UV light and hardly any moisture gets on them. So, for them to show their wear is concerning. I don't believe they are necessarily cheaply made, but I will consider finding a more robust brand, if and when another burns out.

In two weeks one out of four stopped working. Hopefully just a fluke. But the look is amazing, safely allow parents and grandparents to see coming in and out at night. These are all cement stairs so initial installation or rough in was difficult but well worth it.

A bit on the expensive side I would say but they are very nice on the landing of our staircase.

Easy to Install. Looks great

After 3 months the LED’s are fading . I emailed the company still no reply. The profit is nice but I would like a replacement on the faded one. Package says last 27 yrs for the LED’s. I didn't expect last only 3 months. With a no reply!

After two months one of the 3 lights stopped working.
