MacArthur Study Bible Hardcover (NKJV)

One of the best study Bible.

I have received my Dr John MacArthur Study Bible. The cover is damaged on the corners. The hard cover under the wrap cover is also damaged on the corners. I am disappointed in the condition of it. The actual bible version and layout is wonderful. I am enjoying using it as my bible study tool. A bit sad I paid so much money to receive it damaged but I am so glad to have it thank you

Does this personal size Bible have smaller print then a normal Bible? Yes. Do I have trouble seeing the print? No. For the amount of information that is packed into this personal size Bible it is easy to carry around. It isn't pocket size however, it is thick. It is 6" x 8 1/2" x 1 7/8". The imitation leather cover has a nice feel. I've watched John MacArthur on TV and he is an excellent teacher like none I've ever heard or seen and his study notes are great. I liked this bible so much we just purchased another one for a new believer at our church. This is my first New American Standard Bible translation and I like it. If you like Josh McDowell he has said "the NASB is an excellent study tool for the serious student of Scripture. Although it is not as readable as some translations, its accuracy is second to none." He said the translators took painstaking efforts to bring out the distinction between Greek tenses.

Everything the reviews and description said it would be. good price, I use it daily and the concordance and footnotes are very helpful

This is an awesome bible. Easily the best study bible that I've owned.

This is a really good study Bible. The turquoise light blue comes in beautiful soft leather (though it can get dirty if not taken care of). The study notes are perfect for a new believer or someone interested in learning more about the Bible. Each Bible book has an overview at the beginning which is really useful to put the book into historical context while also learning about the authorship, setting, and context in which it was written. The introductions discuss the focal verses and most important takeaways from each book (from a theological perspective). The book is a little heavy but Iearned a lot about the commentaries. One should know that MacArthur's slant is reformed Presbyterian (neo-Calvinist)....he uses terminology like "the elect", "total depravity", and "predestination". He also discusses eschatology.
