I used Timbashield to paint a fence and the garden bench photographed. This spirit based product is better than any of the expensive water based treatments from well know brands. It’s thin consistency makes it very easy to apply and you can see the product soak into the timber as you paint to give a lasting effect. The second photo I took after heavy rainfall and you can see the water beading on the surface, not soaking in. I put on two coats with much increased coverage of the second coat. Wear protective gloves. I mistakenly wore shorts and had stains on my legs for over a week - which proves it’s durability I suppose! Price is for a 5 litre container so excellent value.

OK, so it was in application, quite 'sparky'. Keeping the brush on the surface as much as possible, prevented one being showered a delightful shade of pale red. Quality-wise, one coat provided fair water-shedding - on a very dry and absorbent wood. Following a second and certainly, third application, the waterproofing fulfilled, even excelled, my highest expectation. I reckon, were I to apply one coat in the spring and another in the autumn, my expensive garden furniture shall thrive through the worse showers: I overwinter my garden furniture under canvas. Colour-wise, my wife was well-pleased, as am I. Overall, yes, I am happy with this competitively-priced product and will assuredly come back for more as I require it. Well done Seller; you've saved me a packet!

Easy to use, painted my fence panels successfully

Great product would definitely buy again

Although I didn`t really like using it on my shed as it was so runny I used what was left on a small decking. That was much easier and the red cedar looked lovely. I then went and purchased the clear version for a new large decking . It was easy to apply went a long way and the rain does just bubble on it. Overall I was glad I bought it. Delivery was excellent. I bought the clear to use on a large decking and that was very good. Goes a long way with plenty left to use next year.

MY CEDAR 8 FT X 6 FT " ALTON " GREENHOUSE IS NOW 50 YEARS OLD, THANKS TO " CUPRINOL," A RED CEDAR PRESERVATIVE, WHICH HAS NOW REACHED TWICE THE PRICE OF TIMBASHIELD. I THEREFORE DECIDED TO TRY TIMBASHIELD AND IT SMELLS JUST THE SAME AS " CUPRINOL " AND WENT ON JUST THE SAME. MY GREENHOUSE IS NOW RESPLENDENT AND LOOKS TO BE GOOD FOR ANOTHER 50 YEARS ! I WON'T SEE THIS UNLESS I LIVE TO BE 123 Y O A !

Excellent value for money

We have used this before and it is the perfect colour for our cedar wood greenhouse. Was very impressed with the super speedy delivery. (Not sure if the review matches the product or the seller).
