This unit was intended to cool a 5x5 foot bathroom. It made the space humid with ambient-temp air. It didn't work once and was an absolute piece of crap. Avoid at all costs.

I looked through numerous listings and reviews and ultimately decided on this one. I love that it’s portable, quiet and has lots of settings to customize. It’s over 100 degrees where we live in the summer and didn’t want to constantly have our home a/c running. I work from home so it’s great to use the portable a/c in my office without running the home a/c. It’s really quiet and keeps my office room cool. Highly recommend and will be buying a second one to keep in our primary bedroom.

It is well made, but not suitable for Wisconsin heat and humidity. If you put ice and water and try to cool that way, you have a sauna. It probably works wonderful in the southwest. As a fan, it's a little better than a box fan. I guess not a good buy for Wisconsin summers.

This was purchased for my son who lives in Los Angeles where it can get quite toasty in the summer. His apartment does not have air conditioning and he needed some relief from the heat. I selected this particular model because it was portable and had good reviews. It was relatively inexpensive since the price for other models can be quite high. While it doesn't replace a full air-conditioning unit, it serves its purpose and my son is appreciative of a cooler home.

I believe this actually made my room warmer. Idea sounds impressive, unfortunately does not translate to real life. Would be 1 star, but fan was pretty nice. Beware of the poor quality power cord. It was very easy to move from room to room, but what you pay for this vs how the item delivers do not compute. Save your money and buy the real portable AC ad this is overpriced and does a poor job of cooling a room.

So I don’t know if I received a defective unit but I set up the unit with cold water while the ice packs froze and used the fan mode which did work. I then put the ice packs in expecting cool air and that’s not what happened. The warm air in the room just circulated and I feel like it gets super humid when it’s on cooling mode, I don’t use it since I have a fan but I had high expectations since it has 5 star reviews. It rotates and the control works fine but it does not cool the room down, it makes it humid and circulated the warm air in the room. Do not recommend if you need a portable ac to cool your room down, it’s more like a very expensive fan.

I've only had it for 3 days (7\14\24) but so far, so good. It keeps my bedroom about 10-15 degrees cooler than outside AS LONG AS I keep up with switching the cool packs. I HIGHLY recommend you buy more cool packs or do like I do and freeze (about 6) water bottles. I use Vitamin water bottles because they're better suited for multi use (don't crumple and get weak). I also, filled a gallon jug with water and keep that in the fridge (to refill the tank with). Every time I change the cooler packs\frozen water bottles (every 2-4 hours) I add 2 frozen bottles or 1 frozen bottle and 3-4 cooler packs, then top off the water (add water AFTER you add cooler packs) with the refrigerated water. It takes roughly 20 minutes to start to feel the cool (after you change the cool packs\bottles). Also, I live in W. WA, it rarely gets above 90⁰F\32⁰C so, I don't know how well this'll work for humid\hot 100⁰F\40⁰C (or hotter) places. 8\5\24 Between having to clean the tank every few days (not easy) and having to change out the cold packs every couple hours, it's too much work\effort. It works as intended, just not for me.
