JBL Live Buds 3 - Cancelling Bud-Type Earbuds - Black

For the price, heck yeah, these better be good. There's almost no point in writing a review because one would assume, "of course they sound great". And yes, one would be right! As I said almost no point so let's just say you'll get exactly what you paid for. Sound that hits the mark with ease. It feels like all earbuds SHOULD sound like these do. But...you only get what you pay for, so if you have the budget, pay for these. If you're picky about sound quality these buds won't disappoint. Now let's be real, what your paying that extra $60 bucks for isn't the sound quality, you really can get great LDAC sound from the capsule 3 pro or the True Engine 4 for a quarter of the price. But they don't bring the experience of ownership that these JBLs do. So where's the extra satisfaction? It's the case this comes with, the excellent design and the features of the whole package. Let do the list: The case...impressive, beautiful flawless design that provides that sense that you bought something special. A set of buds that just ain't average. Functional in ways that your non tech savvy pals will praise you for your taste. The comfort...Yeah, so don't worry, these buds are so comfortable in your ears you'll be hesitant to use the stem style bud you love and hate again. The ear tips are cushion soft. They don't apply pressure to you ear, make you ears feel stuffed. Simply put them on and they lay on you ears curves like their taking a nap. The buds are light and comfortable even for long periods. These aren't sport buds and they don't squeeze into your ear canal so don't go playing tennis or B-ball with 'em. These things work well for casual down time and leisurely activities. You get 5 sets of eartips with this. Four are " stuckied"in the uniquely designed package, and the fifth, second largest tips, are in the ear buds themselves. They are easy to change. No fuss. The case displays basic info about what's playing on the buds and has a feature or two that make it next level, justifying the extra cost. The sound quality is bright in the mid highs and highs, so it may require some taming using EQ. The mids are strong and tend to need some input from the bass which seems to me to be the most responsive to EQing. The bass can achieve that modernernistic sub bass some folks just gotta have. The mid bass is punchy and tweakable. All in all the sound can be shaped to achieve well rounded sound profiles that satisfy. It seems you have work a bit to get these to achieve a satisfying warm sound when in LDAC mode but it achieves well controlled warmer punchy sound with a palpably deep bass right out of the box when LDAC is not on. LDAC achieves clarity to the next level, and tempts to mess with EQ just to toy around. TV:Tested LG C1: No noticeable latency. These buds are just a pleasure to use, especially because of the the comfort. I highly recommend them. JBL is doing the business and these, among their other higher prices ear buds and earphones, do indeed compete as being among the best.

Good bass. Great noise cancellation (I ride a loud cruiser). Will lasts most my 8hr shift at work at high bass equalizer setting and noise cancellation, if I ride in and am able to use them the whole shift.

I bought this to replace the Nothing earbuds since the Nothing earbuds get uncomfortable for ears after 10 minutes of use. The JBL Live Buds are quite small and fit in the ear quite comfortably. Sound quality is actually pretty good as well and the only downside I have is that it does not get quite as loud as other earbuds. Quality of packaging and hardware is quite well and since it is small, it does get to be quite hard to get a hold of without worrying about it falling out. Case is on the thicker end so it does bulge out from your pockets a bit but at least you know it is there. All in all, for the price, it definitely is a great option compared to the more expensive options from Soundcore, Apple, Nothing, Sony and Samsung.

Starting out, I bought these on sale around $140, and I feel this price is worth it if they functioned properly. Starting with the good, They sound pretty decent, great bass (especially on the extreme bass equlizer mode), have spacial audio and alot of other features to boost sound quality. They pair with the JBL app, and makes tweaking settings and ajusting stuffs easy. Talk-through was by far my favorite feature, being able to do a quick double tap and listen to things around me was nice. The ambient aware does work, but found it to be incosistant and not always give you the audio like a car coming or someone yelling out. So the bad. Almost immidiately I noticed the lid to the case has alot of wiggle. For the time it seems they spent trying to make them feel premium ( and for the price I would consider them so anyway..) having the lid wiggle and move so much when the case is closed makes them feel cheap and fragile. Then probably the biggest issue is playback quality. They worked great sitting at my desk playing with them out of the box, but as soon as I went to use them for my daily walk, it was nothing but random stuttering and breaks in playback in one or sometimes both ears. Usually my phone was In my pocket and case in my hand. Tried switching that up and no change, tried walking a different route and not change. even used a different phone to stream off of. As you could imagine this was extremely annoying and after reaching out to support and following all the troubleshooting steps (resets, using a different device to stream, ect) They still have the issue. The only thing I can do is submit them for manufacture warranty but I would miss my refund window and with this much $$ id rather not recieve another pair that does the same thing and cant do anything about it. Really sucks they have this issue out of the box as its the reason I replaced my older pair of JBL Tune125's after they started doing it 2 years after I purchased them. Probably gunna try a different brand now, Id definitley think and double check the return policy first before buying, especially at full price.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Case touchscreen is just slow. It doesn't remember settings. Let's day I turned off all modes (No ambient, ANC, etc) next time I put one on or I switch from one headphone to another it re-enabled passthrough audio. So frustrating. Case closing spring is terrible. If you drop the case 1ft it will open and both buds will fly out. Case contacts or bud contacts may be terrible or maybe the case programming just sucks but it randomly connects to my phone when both buds are in the case and the case is in my pocket. I have to open the case, remove both headphones and place them back in the case for it to turn them off. Didn't get me wrong, the headphones themselves are great when they work, great sound, great base, and even ANC isn't too bad. But the other issues literally make you annoyed non stop. I have a feeling these were rushed to production and the testing was not complete before they were released. These small issues 100% ruin the experience.

They sound great the only thing I see that would be an issue is that charging case doesn't hold a charge very long..after being off the charger for about an hour it went done almost 10%

I’m quite finicky about earbuds. The fit, the sound, the features all need to line up and I was forever feeling like I’d get one and not the other. Not anymore. The JBL Live Buds have put an end to my search for the perfect set. The sound quality is great and has extensive options for equalization. They’re absolutely the most comfortable design I’ve ever worn. Zero ear fatigue. The Awareness mode? A GAME CHANGER. I cannot convey just how valuable this has been for my workdays. I can keep both earbuds in and still hear enough around me that I’m not ignoring people if they are trying to get my attention. Great for shopping too, you can still be aware of your surroundings and avoid overstimulating noise around you. And finally, THE SCREEN. Oh my god how genius is that??? I can see exactly where the battery life is at for both the buds AND the case. I can control the volume, the awareness mode/noise canceling, and so many other things visually. They also have the standard tap features on each earbud but I personally don’t like using those so having it right there in front of me is extremely helpful. I can’t say enough about these earbuds. Worth every penny and more!

So depending on how much you pay for these, your findings may show good value or excellent value. I got these on sale and am very happy with them. Anything to do with how one interprets sound is bound to be highly subjective, so I will leave the hi-fi techno jargon to the sound experts. For me, if I like the sound that is what matters, not what some reading might have said or did not say. Pros: -super comfy in my ears, I have used all the Samsung and most of the Bose lines and this one is the most comfortable, I only find myself readjusting them because I am checking if they are still there, I forget that they are in! -High quality feel in build quality and weight, they just feel good, not cheap. This can be very important for something that you touch as much as earbuds. This feeling contributes to the overall experience. -Battery life is as expected, the case goes down a little bit faster than expected, I think that may be because of the screen. -Sound is excellent. Again, I am not a sound expert, I know what I like and I like this sound. I had the Bose high end buds and they would randomly disconnect. I would say this sound is a little richer, more substance to the sound. Very impressed. Cons: -My biggest gripe with these is the LED screen on the case, and its not really bad, just doesnt seem necessary to me. I have not come across a situation where I was unable to switch music on my phone and instead would reach for this case. I have accidentally unlocked this screen and had to re-lock it however. It seems to me the screen money was unnecessary. Overall I am very happy with these and super impressed by the sound, I use them at the gym and they are fantastic. The noise cancelling is really good, again I am not an expert and I am sure you will get some "experts" telling you it lacks this mid range or this acoustic so and so, for me they are what I was looking for at an agreeable price. Update: So I have been having some issues with these. It drops calls constantly, which is a little annoying, reached out for support and was given instructions which I followed, but didnt entirely fix the issue. Now they drop the music it seems a little more often, if I am at the gym with my phone in my pocket, they probably drop the music 3 or 4 times in 10 minutes. The sound quality is still great, but this dropping or pausing of the sound is getting a little annoying, so not quite sure about these.

Give it 4 stars ,they are good ,great sound just a tad to much bass ,connect they do straight away can't fault that and the bud box is cool ,answer your calls ,raise or lower your volume and change tunes without having to remove phone ,so all in all a sound bit of kit that do the job very well ,have fun listening 🎶

Llegó el paquete en tiempo y forma, sin daño en el empaque, completo. Llevo un par de días usándolo y la verdad estoy muy contento! Tiene un sonido que, a mi parecer, es muy bueno, es cómodo, viene con distintos tamaños de gomas, por lo que lo puedo utlizar 4 horas seguidas sin quejas. La cancelación de ruido es suficiente, puedes ir en la calle, con muchos carros, ruido, etc, y a mitad de volumen es suficiente para no escuchar nada. La opción para escuchar el ambiente es buena, aunque, a mi parecer, le falta un poco de volúmen. Aún así, los uso constantemente para hablar con personas y entiendo todo a la perfección. Solo lo uso con 1 dispositivo, así que no he tenido problemas, no se desconecta, no se traba, no se corta. Lo importante para mí son las llamadas y cumple, excelente, me escuchan bien, tapa los ruidos de manera satisfacroria y yo escucho perfecta la llamada. ESTO ERA LO QUE BUSCABA. En general, es una excelente opción. Ahora bien, las contras: 1. El estuche, lo tengo el la bolsa del pantalón o la chamarra y se acaba la batería muy rápido, como la pantalla se prende con un determinado número de toques, acaba prendiéndose a todo momento y no me ha durado más de 2 días (con pocas horas de uso), a pesar de que se acaba la batería, los audífonos siguen conectados sin problemas. 2. Ahora bien, otra contra MUY IMPORTANTE: el sonido es bajo. Vengo de unos jbl live free 2 (pésimos, por cierto) y no le llegan al volúmen, estos se quedan muy por debajo. Me hubiera gustado unos 3 nieveles más. En general, estoy muy contento, los puedo recomendar sin problemas y el precio... $2,100 MXN. =D

Excelente, llegó en buen estado, jala muy bien, la pila de la caja me duro casi 4 días, el audífono dura más de 4hrs continuas, también se escuchan muy bien
