Cricket 2005 (PC)
The one thing, ( and it is a big fault ), that lets this game down is the batting. You just can't score runs, and I am quite good at games. Other reviews have also mentioned about the batting. If the batting had been as good as the bowling in this game, it would have been as good as Brian Lara cricket. It's a pity because the graphics are excellent.

The Best cricket game I ever played
Ea cricket 2005 is a realistic cricket game. Eventhough many customers agreed that it is very difficult to bat in cricket 2005, i can agree that but the problem was solved after a week. All the areas are easy to manage and master...i think not fielding becuase u only have 1 option of camera angle when u start manual fielding. The batting is the most effective part in the game where u have a lot of different shots to play according to the kind of bowler you are facing. you can also create your own player- up to 90 players which is far more better facility compared to BLIC 2005. The player faces are not good in teams from Asia. Most players look identical twins but the graphics is excellent. The players don't look like cartoon cartoons like in the previous version. The commentary is also good. eventhough most of them are repeatable, the commentary is also enjoyable. Like in BLIC versions u cannot hit 4s and 6s easily, it needs patience and also confidence from batsmen. You have 13 tournament modes in the game- 5 international, 3 Australian and 5 English cricket competitions. I only had a chance to play 2 out of those 13 but i am sure that all other tournaments will be enjoyable. So i think Cricket 2005 is better than previous editions. Overall i will give it 5 star because every part of the game is above than what i expected so i recommend this game to all cricket fans who love cricket, want nail biting matches and want to play anything like a proper cricket game... so why not search amazon and buy it?

A great yorker
Having played all of its predecessors i have been anticipating this release for a while. Having played Cricket 2004 on the Playstation i wanted to try it out on the PC. I wasnt disappointed. The graphics are superb and the playability is strangely addictive. The bowling options are great and you have the option of special deliveries after youve been bowling well. Batting.Hm thats tough. I keep getting out and i havent managed a score above 50 yet. But im a demon at bowling. Probably the best cricket game around. The only down side is the lack of "real" play. There are barely edges and you cant appeal when you want to. A great buy

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THE WONDERFUL GAME OF CRICKET
Oh my god ... this must easily be the worst game of cricket out there. Seriously ... get the old graham gooch cricket on C64, its a lot better. The training is terrible. I get hit by a bouncer and the commentator says "well done!! thats the best way to play this ball". The batting is terrible ... the game does not react to your input. I try to hit a six shot, and my batsman ends up defending!!! Argggghhhhh!!!! YOU CANNOT PLAY A CRISP ground shot ... its defend or a six (actually you'll most likely get out playing the six shot or defending ... depends on the mood of the game). The fielding ... you must be kidding me. I see my player run towards the ball, and for NO REASON lets the ball go ahead. The bowling is the only good thing about this game. Do yourself a favour and get Brian Lara cricket. The graphics may not be that good, but the game engine is much better. If you do decide to get this game, also get yourself a spare keyboard ... because you will end up smashing the keyboard out of sheer frustration.

REAL CRICKET
Graphics excellent - game atmosphere excellent - this games makes u think - real cricket. bl00dy difficult to get started mind u - just like EA Rugby 2005 u need the tutorials then practice makes perfect - go to the nets and practice ur batting timing and be patient with ur bowling - it will take u about a week toscore more than 50, but ive just stuffed Australia in the ashes tour (on easy level!) - and im sure EA Sports have purposely made Brian Lara sh1te!!!

Very disappointing software.
While I agree with most of the reviewers that graphics is awesome, I didn't buy this for graphics. I bought it to be able to play my favorite game. This software disappoints in that aspect. Bowling - No matter what you do, each and every ball is a no-ball. Google search revealed that some people were able to find a way to deliver a non-no-ball. The manual doesn't say anything about it. Even nets don't help with that. Those who wrote the manual didn't care to read it. It talks about 'delivery key', but doesn't say which key is a delivery key. Batting - Software doesn't respond as documented in the manual. I pressed S plus an arrow key to play a front foot shot. But it ended up defending. Manual is useless. Fielding - I haven't tried it yet. Computer always throws direct hit which is not fair. Overall I am very disappointed with this game. I think the problem is in porting the games from PS2 to PC. Things that work on PS2, don't work on PC. Being a cricket fan, I will keep working on my practice. Will update this post if I find something useful. As of now this software deserves zero stars.
