Will this fit around a gran board?

No the Gran board is bigger than a steel tip board and it attaches with magnets to the side of the board. You should consider a Vision 360 and hook it to the wall as seen in one of our videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3tmDFQSQYI

Any problems using steel darts and subsequent damage from errant dart strikes?

This lighting system is awesome! Zero shadows , and I only use heavy gram steel tip darts.

Actually this lighting system is 12v not 120v. The plug has a transformer at or near the end of cord that allows you to plug it into a 115v-120v outlet.
