Great little winder
I have an old singer and the bobbin winder had lost its locking spring so I had to press it down manually to wind my cotton on bobbin This little winder was a great alternative

Really good product.
Fantastic product. Works really well with all shapes and sizes of reels. Doesn’t come with a power cable but had a C type charging cable that I could use. Would work just as well with batteries. Doesn’t take up a lot of space and is easy to store.

Personally found it tough on the hands to open and place empty bobbin but otherwise good!
It works but delightful looking case is hard to open (just wrench it apart). (ouch!) Found it difficult to screw in the arm that allows you to fill bobbins from large cones or reels with flanges, by feeding thread from a sewing machine or other spool holder. I also found it tough to press down the empty bobbin that turns to fill! Designed by a strong person with young hands! Once set up, it works steadily to fill a bobbin thst holds more than my sewing machine filled bobbins do. You have to be a keen dressmaker etc to make this worthwhile but a seasoned, experienced sewer would not find it hard,, despite the small, hard to see diagrams to show how to use it. I am sure that I will be using it a few times a year winding up from spools for my next projects, in advance. I did several on the sofa watching television last night instead of at a table. This job is a boring part of sewing so I am happy! Will try to upload photos!

Compact
Easy to use. Great item

Very poor...!
Doesn't fully fill a bobbin despite using the adjuster on the unit. Doesn’t wind a bobbin tight enough despite using the adjuster on the unit. Very flimsy, would not stand up to serious use. Not really fit for purpose. If was built to a decent quality standard, I'm sure it would be a winner. The concept is great, but let down by poor quality.

Difficult
Unfortunately I had to return the bobbin winder as it is not suitable for someone with poor eyesight

Automatic stop
Yes it wound my bobbins well, but the automatic stop did not work at all. The thread tangled round the spool. It is a nice little machine and easy to use. I was just unlucky I think.

No electric plug and lead.
Why is it called electric if you have to put batteries into it,as it doesn’t provide a plug and lead, even though there is a connection on it? Instructions weren’t very clear, but after fiddling around with it ,it eventually got going. One or two empty bobbins with it would have been handy,as not all bobbins fit it!
