Le Creuset Essential Non-Stick Ceramic Shallow Frying Pan, 8"

I bought this pan to cook eggs in and we’ve used it so much. Replaced a Teflon product and love this - great size, no stick, doesn’t scratch, easy to wash- it’s expensive but worth it.

We've tried three supposedly nonstick pans before finding this gem. It is a keeper! I basically needed a true non-stick pan for making eggs, and this is the winner. I've used it every day for a week, and I am thrilled at the results. No sticky residue clinging to the sides! I will purchase the larger size for omelets and frittatas. Try it. You'll thank me.

Advertised as Non-Stick Ceramic Shallow Frying Pan, 8" Well didn’t work out that way. After a few months of use “Non-Stick” becomes everything sticks, even when coated with butter or lard. The center of the fry pan is domed upward and difficult to hold oil or butter there. Such an incredible disappointment. This fry pan surface has not been scratched or misused, “always” washed by hand with non-abrasive sponge. Never stacked, never run through the dishwasher, only used plastic or wood utensils, never metal. The fry pan is basically worthless to me at this point. Good Luck if you buy it!

Best nonstick skillet we’ve had. Heats evenly and even eggs just slide out. Ceramic coating appears very durable

This is the best frying pan I have ever used for frying eggs!!!! If you fry a lot of eggs, then this is worth the price. Treat the pan like glass as the ceramic can chip but it is so easy to clean that it takes minimum effort to clean. Really love this pan!

Fantastic pan! Nicely sautés vegetables. Unlike other similar price range nonstick skillets I’ve had, the pan readily becomes hot when I use it at half or less of my gas burner capacity results in a pleasant brown finish on vegetables and meats when I want that effect.

The seller sent it out to me double boxed and nicely sealed. Opened the box and found a booklet about care and warranty, thick book in many languages. Thought it was a stupid waste of paper and waste of time to manufacture such a book for a frying pan. Flipping though the book and now I see, says it should be periodically coated with oil with paper towel, rinsed off and then dried with a paper towel. This helps freshen up or maintain the non stick feature on the coating. I would not have known. Used it once to reheat meat. Used it second time to fry eggs and one egg stuck on one very specific spot. I think it’s too new to judge and maybe that one sticking spot was coating that just wasn’t absorbent to oil just yet. Heats fast and even, better then teflon non stick version I also have. Didn’t notice any chemical odor first use however I did soap and water wash before use.
