2 Litre Rostio Tank Rust Remover + 500 ml Tank Protection Emulsion Tank Sealing set – Tank Rust Removal Made Easy

Excellent product and great results, I tried the vinegar method and it didn’t work but I was great full this cleaned a very rusty tank. Worth the money and easy to use. 48hrs all in to clean rains and add last tank protector fluid.

I haven’t ridden my SV650S for 9 years since the kids came along. When I opened the tank I was gutted to see the caked rust flakes. I did a bit of research and found Rostio. To be honest I wasn’t expecting to much but I couldn’t believe the results. The dilution was 10:1 per litre of hot water. My tank is approx 15 litres so I just used the two bottles to give it a bit more strength. I also bought a cheap immersion heating element from eBay and let it bubble for about 8 hours. I then wrapped it in old blankets to keep the heat in and left it for approximately 40 hours. I emptied the tank and flushed it out with cold water several times until all the rust flakes and crude were gone. There was a lot of rust pieces and I needed to swirl the tank and fast flush it to remove any flakes left behind. I then swirled the tank out with the Rostio emulsion to help protect the tank from further rusting. The results are amazing! Its a little more expensive than using litres of white vinegar but IMO Rostio is quicker and it leaves a professional job. I would definitely recommend this product. Just follow the instruction and you will also be pleased with the results.

So i bought this to de rust a fuel tank and oil tank on a 1950 BSA motorcycle. I'm guessing its a phosphoric acid mix but i couldn't find a data sheet for it. It does work on medium corrosion.... But you DO NEED TO COMPLETELY FILL the vessel for it to work.... No air pockest....If you only half fill and slosh it around every few hours the corrosion will just take hold on the part of the tank that isn't submerged... Worse than when you started. If your tank is 18 litres you need the 2 full bottles. Hot water also rapidly increases the effectiveness. Remember though if your tank is really bad you will just end up with pin hole leaks as the acid eats away at the paper thin rust that was holding the petrol in..... Also you could just buy the acid and make the mix yourself. Good luck

Worked very well indeed on quite heavily rusted tank.

Motorbike tank was extremely rusted inside. I expected it might be beyond repair. Tried other solutions before with varying success. This Rostio sorted it though. Followed instructions but left it for a week so longer than that suggested. It looked good. No brown rust or flakes left. Followed with the protective liquid and all good. Been a good few months now and still looks the same. Would I use it again, definitely.

Product works effectively, used 2 bottles for a 16l tank and sealer afterwards is key as surface rust returns quickly without it, don't ask me how I know

Used on my Triumph 91 Trident's tank. Used hot water and left a bit longer than stated as the Trident's tank is slight larger than specified. Cleared the rust fine. Though did get another sealer, one seemed to do the job but I wanted to make sure.

Did exactly what was required. Perfect solution to a rusty tank.

Lo he utilizado para 2 depósitos (Vulcan 500 y Vulcan 500 Classic) el resultado es espectacular. En la primera estaba un poco oxidado ya que la moto llevaba 3 años parada y lo dejo como si fuera nuevo. La segunda moto estuvo 4 años parada cerca de la playa, el depósito estaba completamente oxidado por dentro, no había ni un milímetro que no tuviera óxido, sonaban maracas de los trozos de metal oxidado que había dentro, la tapa del depósito no habría. Pues bueno después de dejar el producto una semana y media, el depósito está como nuevo, es alucinante. Para las dos motos he utilizado el mismo proceso, limpiar con agua como he podido el interior del depósito, luego hervir agua, poner un grifo de gasolina sellado, verter el producto y luego el agua hirviendo, cerrar el depósito, taparlo con toallas y sábanas viejas y dejarlo el tiempo que fuera necesario. Luego ya se aclara con agua hasta que deje de salir restos de óxido y se hecha el producto de sellado, se va moviendo para que impregne bien y listo

Avevo un serbatoio molto arrugginito da sistemare ma non mi è mai piaciuta l'idea di verniciare l'interno come proposto da soluzioni quali Tankerite e Power Tank. Dopo alcune ricerche in rete ho trovato questo prodotto e l'ho acquistato: devo dire che ha funzionato, credo che il suo "segreto" sia la fase 2 di neutralizzante, che impedisce il riformarsi rapido della ruggine tipico del post-trattamento. C'è da dire che la fase 1 di antiruggine non è potentissima, quindi consiglio di fare un trattamento preventivo di 24 ore con aceto di alcool (molto economico, si trova al supermercato a 0,60€ al litro) per togliere il grosso, sciaquare con acqua fredda e poi fare il trattamento Rostio. Serbatoio sistemato, rimontato, ora c'è dentro la benzina e nessun accenno di riformazione di ruggine.

Funktioniert super, aber lange einwirken lassen und zwischendurch durch schütteln und warm halten, am besten mit einem Tauchsieder.

Usado en depósito de combustible de honda cbr 1000 f que llevaba 30 años desguazada y con gasolina resultado espectacular lo aconsejo desaparece el oxido y con el segundo tratamiento evita que aparezca de nuevo
