Purchased to replace the original Microsoft power adapter that fried due to a power surge in the home. The new unit arrived quick which was key for our choice as the wife needed the laptop for her business trip. However, the power adapter died this weekend, after only 10 weeks of use.

Crappy. Does Not work Do not buy.Bought this to quickly replace a dog chewed original charger. It didn't work so I assumed I was having issues with my surface unit and have been charging from USB-c since now come to find out after using someone else's charger my Surface was perfectly fine. Bought an original Microsoft charger from Best Buy and works perfectly.So now I am passed return period out $30.Do not Buy!!!!!!

Works just as well as OEM. Cord is shorter though so not as much leeway with setup. Doesn't overheat.

I don't know why but I've gone through many surface pro chargers for my surface laptop. The original lasted only a year and ever since I have been buying generic ones and they all have worked okay for a while but eventually stopped working. This charger has so far lasted the longest and I have not had a single issue with it. It charges my surface pro really quickly and the magnetic attachment works very well.Overall, an excellent replacement to the original.

This cord is a perfect replacement for my Chromebook. It is exactly like the original. Not only is it identical, but it's also incredibly convenient for travel. It's lightweight and easy to wrap up. In terms of charging speed and performance, it's just as good as the original. What sets this cord apart is the additional USB port, which allows me to charge another device simultaneously. This feature wows me since I just realized it was there, LOL. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with this charging cord, and it's well worth the $29.99 price tag.

I have purchased 2 separate chargers for backup charges and both have worked initially and then suddenly stopped working to charge my daughter’s surface pro. This one stopped within the first couple uses.
