Q: Will this work on the car headlights, which I believe is plastic?

If you're looking just to SLIGHTLY POLISH and subtly smooth headlight lenses as well as other plastics in the car and around the house, this and other products like it (Brillianize, Kleenmaster, etc...) is okay and does a decent job. HOWEVER, if you're looking to RESTORE fogged or sun-damaged headlight lenses back to their original transparent condition, this (as well as the others I mentioned) WILL NOT accomplish that nor anywhere close; you'll likely need a product that requires the use of, and includes, sandpaper of varying grit plus a wipe on luster and UV protectant. This IS a good product to have around, just not for any serious "restoration" of plastics to their original shine. Best of luck.

The product is formulated to clean acrylic plastic without scratching. If the helmet is acrylic it should work very well. It is a very gentle cleaner. I think it's safe for just about any type of plastic.

Q: How well does this remove scratches on plastic lenses?

Novus 1 contains no abrasives and will likely not remove any scratches from plastic lenses. It will however clean and condition the plastic making scratches much less visible. Novus 2 and Novus 3 are the scratch removal products. If the lenses you are referring to are for eyeglasses, do not use Novus 2 or Novus 3, there are usually special coatings on eyeglasses for UV protection and polarization, and the abrasives in 2 and 3 will probably remove them.

Q: I accidentally swiped the plastic/acrylic with 120 sandpaper when I was sanding a wood picture frame. Will this help?

It should as long as its not real deep. I used this to take scratches out of the windshield on my U.T.V. works good. I start with #3 then #2 and finish with #1 to clean and coat.

Does well on fine scratches to gel coat

Did a good job with fine scratches on the side of my gel-coated fiberglass camper, which I got from brushing across some tree branches. Scratches on the acrylic window took a little more work but most of these also came out. The ones that didn't came out with the same product having a medium grit.

Want to remove scratches from your glasses? DO NOT BUY THIS!

I specifically searched for ‘scratch remover for eyeglass lenses’ and this product popped up first. I didn’t see anything under the item description that would suggest this item could not be used for my purposes, but the very first thing I see under the directions when I received the item was it could not be used for glasses.

Worked just a described

Bought product to clean the plastic windows on Aliner trailer. Worked great. Takes a little elbow grease to make it shine. We then used it on our cloudy headlights. That worked even better. Will see how long they stay clear.
