Universal Heavy Duty Rugged Nylon Canvas Protective Carrying Cell Phone Case Pouch (with Metal Belt Clip) for Medium Sized Flip Phones - Black

I just received this item today, so this is my first impression. I notice that many one & two star reviews complain about this item's sturdiness/durability so I'll be writing a second review after I have worn this item daily for a month or two. [Update, 11/26/15: I've worn this every day for nearly 4 months. It has proven very durable, no tears, opening seams, holes etc. It's a great buy] I'm using it with a "vintage" Samsung T139 flip phone (3-3/4" x 1-7/8" x 3/4"). The pouch is a little deep for my phone so I've cut off a 1-inch piece of the plastic, foam block packed inside the pouch (I guess so the pouch keeps its shape during shipping). The pouch came nicely packed in a sealed plastic sack. The sides of the pouch are elastic and my phone fits fairly snugly, it would not accommodate a phone much thicker than mine. The Velcro catch is tight. What I really like about this pouch is the carry option. For belt carry, one can carry it vertically (2-1/2" wide belt maximum) or horizontally (1-3/4" wide belt maximum) by using one of the nylon belt loops on the back. I don't normally wear a belt to I prefer to use the metal belt clip. To keep the pouch from sliding off the waist band of my trousers, I sew a large button on the inside of the waist band where I carry the pouch. When I slide the belt clip onto the waist band of my trousers I slide the button into the slot in the middle of the metal clip, just as if the slot were a button hole. I have been doing this for years with a previous belt pouch with the same metal clip and have never had a pouch fall off. You don't need to do a great job of installing the button as nobody sees it. There is also a small ring that could be attached to a carabineer or some other sort of clip. There is also a little elastic loop sewn on one side for a stylus, pen or pencil. One last note. Looking out the dimensions given for this item, they are more like 4-1/2" x 2-1/2 x 1-3/4" , including the metal clip with a phone inserted. It's 1/2" thick when empty and compressed. I've seen similar pouches at local brick & mortar stores twice as much and more. I am very pleased with this item, would buy it again and currently recommend it. [Update 11/26/15: Still pleased.]

As a stubborn, “basic phone” holdout, I’m always on the watch for a good holster. This passes muster, 200 proof. I own an LG Octane, still one of the best flip phones ever invented. Although an Octane does stick out of the holster a bit, the flap still has enough room for the Velcro to snag securely. By comparison #1, we have an old LG enV Touch laying around, and while that was a neat blend of flip phone and touchscreen, it’s just a hair too long for this holster. (If anyone knows a good holster for the enV Touch, lemme know) Comparison #2, I found in a drawer my mid-2000s LG VX3200, which was shorter and fatter than the Octane, and it also fits, so maybe other traditional, vertical, flip phones might fit. The main thing I cannot address is long-term durability, since I just got them for Christmas 2019, so I left those rating stars blank. But in the meantime, they feel well-made, not cheap junk. Price was awesome and shipping was swift.

I wanted to case I could put my Galaxy Buds (inside their case) into and clip onto my belt; and I didn't like any of the cases I found online for them. I wanted something with an actual belt clip and not a carabiner. Also I wanted a case that I didn't have to worry about it popping open if I dropped it. I figured a small flip phone case that used Velcro and not a magnet would would be perfect so I got this. The Galaxy Buds case is a bid smaller (length wise) than a flip phone so they can move up and down if you shake it, but as long as the flap is closed well they can't fall out; and thickness wise it's a perfect fit so I don't have to worry about the Galaxy Buds case inside coming open and the buds falling out. Overall very satisfied with the purchase.

Got two because I can't find these locally for my elderly dad's cellphone. They are exactly what I was looking for and the price was good.

I'm ordering another one of these medium size pouches for my Victorinox Swisschamp XLT, which is the best carry option I've found for this knife. The regular Swisschamp fits too loosely, but would leave room for a second knife or very small flashlight. I ordered this for my Alcatel Smartflip (Go Flip 3), but had to remove a hard case cover in order to close the pouch. It fits, but the combo is too long with the hard case installed. The pouch is more important to me than the hard case. Easily one of the best quality nylon pouches I've had over many years. I've earned the nickname 'pouchboy' from my wife, for which I have a decent collection of retired pouches that don't hold up. This one will.

My elderly uncle has a flip phone and needed a case so he could keep the phone with him all the time. This one is perfect (not too heavy) It even has a loop on the side he can attach his garage door opener when he takes out the trash.

These don’t last very long for my very active husband. He does extremely physical work & uses his phone a lot. The Velcro doesn’t last as long on these & the last one I bought, his phone didn’t fit & it’s the same phone he’s used forever..like 10 years.
