Good price for a good product
I was extremely happy with the product. Easy material to work with took to the quenching and tempering beautifully. Will be ordering more of this product in the future.

Wonโt produce a hamon
The steel still hardened up nicely during heat treat but did not produce a hamon like other 1095 I have used. I actually had to order more from a different vendor to complete my commission for a client and that steel produced a beautiful hamon using the same technique. Iโd like to send this out to have it identified to see if itโs really 1095.

Overall it's good steel, but might not be fully annealed.
Some sections of this steel I was easily able to cut with my band saw. Other areas, the blade wouldn't even scratch it. Even with a new blade. If you're making knives with it, you should already be equipped to get the steel into a soft state.
