NuTone S97018564 Lens for QT20000 Series Ventilation Fans , Gray

This was the first time that I had to replace this cover for my oven lights after 19 years and I was concerned it might not fit. True to the specifications it fit perfectly.

This replacement light cover is better than original. It has a reflective top. The original did not.

I ordered #2 and #3 twice in the past 2 years. Both times it didn't last. It got brittle, and cracked. I saw a review where someone ordered from an appliance store. I wish I knew what store they ordered from as I need a replacement. I noticed the price has gone up 8.00 too. The first one came with the Unit 20 years ago and lasted 18 years.

This fit perfectly. I am glad that this replacement part is available! Very easy installation, perfect fit, decent price, but lifetime limited to 7 years (based on our family's cook top usage rate).The part design is marginal, as this is the 2nd time I have had to replace it. One of the retention tabs breaks off over time - probably due to weakening by heat (from the cook top and the light bulbs). Either a better material or a strengthening gusset or radius would easily make this part last a lot longer. However, rather than replace the ventilation fan, this provides a cost-effective fix (good for about 7 years).

This is the third (3rd) one I've gone through. They fit perfectly. However, after some use, the heat of the bulb must make the plastic brittle because if it drops, it will shatter all over. This last installation I made sure to hammer down the tabs that this item slides into so it is a tighter fit. Other than that its perfect. Buy it, just make sure you have a very tight fit.

What a piece of junk! Cover fit well on my older hood, but within 4 months it cracked, and now 6 mos later another crack appears. I suppose any day now it will fall into my food. I think I'll try to get Amazon to replace it as they knew it was faulty. As the earlier reviewer suggested, I also think LED bulbs would be better in this unit. 5 Wt equal 40 watt in the LED.

Light cover replacement fits the Nutone Whispaire; plastic is a bit thinner than the original that came with the range light/fan, but is a suitable okay replacement, way better than the one that was discolored/cracked with age; purchased some equivalent led bulbs to use instead of the regular, lessen the chance of the new one cracking from the heat of a bulb
