Bought this for only 1 job. To install my new front splitter for my corvette. It was recommended to reinstall rivets when attaching the splitter onto the car even though there are 10 or so screws that holds it in place, there are also 10 factory rivets holding the stock splitter to the bumper. After drilling out the old rivets, i wanted to install new ones for safety. I bought this rivet tool along with a bag of plastic rivets off amazon and easily installed the rivets. The tougher job was drilling out the old ones. But this tool is very easy to use. Install rivet into the tool, squeeze once, release, then squeeze again and the tail of the rivet breaks off and you're done. Rivet was nice and tight into my new splitter. Finally a tool that works the first time. Even though i don't foresee another time this will be used, i will keep it because it's good to have and easy to use.

Was surprised by the solid build of this tool- was expecting something constructed with plastic, but this is a well-built metal tool. I had no issues with it's operation, nor did I experience any pin cut-offs getting jammed inside the grasping cylinder. But then, I am guessing some of the issues others have reported may be due to size of the plastic rivets being used. I however had no such problem. I did notice on first pull, the tool pulled the pin most of the way out, and I had to reposition and pull again - which tightened the fastener in place and snapped-off the pin. I posted pics of the size of this tool so you could see it is not tiny. When using for re-attaching wheel-well trim on my 2013 Jeep GC-Overland, I had to either remove the wheels, or turn full-lock in order to have space to use the tool -- I chose to just turn the wheel and not bother with removing the wheels. Overall I am happy with this purchase.

This gadget works...I needed to replace my drivers side inner plastic wheel liner,had to remove the factory plastic pop rivets to take the plastic fender trim off to do this,once they get removed you have to replace them with new ones.I bought exact replacement pop rivets on Amazon.com and this little tool did the job!..telling you put the rivet in the gun and 2 squeezes and it's done.I needed 6 rivets but bought a 30 pack for pocket change for future use...I highly recommend this tool,a nice addition to my ever growing tool collection...signed Stephanie m...yes a female mechanic.

I resent that I had to buy this thing and a bunch of rivets just to put the inner fender back on my Dakota, but that's not the tool's fault. It seems like a well built tool and it did the job perfectly. Tip: don't use the tool to break the rivet ends off after setting them, they tend to get stuck in the tool. Just clip them with side cutters.

I had to replace a washer motor on my 2015 BMW X1. I bought the correct plastic pop rivets and this tool. This riveter is tough, metal, and pops off the stems perfectly. Place the rivet in the fender trim hole FIRST, then push the tool on and squeeze. POP! Perfect set height, and the stem falls out when you turn the tool over. Easy Peezy. No problems at all for all of them, and now my washers spew like an elephant. Would buy again, but shouldn’t ever have to.

Was the tool needed to install the plastic pop rivets that hold half a Jeep together. Works well and saved money buying the tool on Amazon and doing the repairs myself

The tool works well. It does need considerable force to set the rivet. I used two hands to align the rivet and set it. I was attaching my 2015 JKU rear inner fender liner to the outer fender which were ripped off on a trail. I mistakenly ordered rivets that were too short. You need rivets that will join about 1/4". this rivet tool is rubbish and shouldnt be sold. the end of the rivet get stuck in the tool and there is no ejection port. garbage

Tool worked without any issues with the plastic rivets i purchased locally. Used them on my plastic inner fenders on my truck. Cut fine.. nvr got stuck inside the tool, great product.
