Typical Bowflex
I let myself go and now pushing 70 it's time to get into some kind of shape. I have a good deal of Bowflex equipment. It lasts, this is the same quality. This dial in system is great, it's 80 lbs us plenty for what I do. Give this a try.

Great product
Great product but the accessory stand is a pain to assemble due to Bowflex’s awful instructions

Elegant
OMG, what an amazing improvement over my dumb old curl bar with screw on collars! Changing weights is so quick it allows for a faster, seemless, workout with a sustained higher heart rate. Minor drawback is that it only changes weights by increments of 10 pounds.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT some assembly required
WARNING: the packaging for this is terrible. Lots of broken Styrofoam from in the box and pellets will get everywhere. I would prefer if they used something more environmentally friendly like rigid cardboard. More importantly there are STAPLES in the packaging that holds all the bolts and screws you need to assemble the base. I have NEVER ran into this before building anything, shame on bowflew for using staples you cant see until they stab you.Now for the normal review. Assembly of the base was straight forward, there are 2 screw holes that were not tapped well but all the other holes were smooth and thread in fine. I really like the weights. They are causing me less pain then lifting standard dumbbells so I am able to weight train more consistently. The handles are knurled (when they carve a grip pattern into the metal) which I love and wish their kettle bell had. Its easy and satisfying to adjust the weights however re racking them can be tricky because they have to drop into specific slots on the other plates. Overall for a full 2 bar it is quite compact and I'm happy I got it. I WOULD NOT however pay the full $700 price for it. To me the cheaper Chinese brands and having more space taking up is worth it. That $500 is just about the max I was willing to shell out for this type of equipment. I do recommend this for $500 for your home gym unless you are a person that drops their weights, you cant do that with any bowflex products to my knowledge.

I'll Sum It Up
Ill sum it up as the best piece of equipment Ive ever bought for my home gym. It's easy to put together and works exactly as described...I also bought the stand to go with it. I was on the fence about buying it because of some of the negative reviews about putting it together. I just dont understand how anyone had any difficulty putting this together? Its actually embarrassing that you had trouble with 22 or so bolts. Lego sets are harder than this.

Bowflex Selecttech 2080 set and 40lb upgrade has major problems
I have to preface this review with what I purchased, as the description seems to keep changing, leaving a flood of good reviews for other items. I bought the Selecttech 2080 set with curl bar, straight bar and the 40lb upgrade set. There were problems with it explained below, and I called Bowflex support for assistance with the problems. I imagine Bowflex records customer service calls, so they can verify all of the following. I called them at 6:48 PM EDT on 8/8/2023 and spoke to a rep who said some discouraging things to me about this product and Bowflex's quality. The Bowflex rep was honest and helpful, and I appreciate his honesty. Unfortunately, what he was honest about was that Bowflex’s parent company Nautilus did not have good quality control, and in some weird way he associated it with the planet being overpopulated. Anyhow, after I assembled and ensured everything was adjusted properly based on the owner’s manual, I set the weight settings to 120lbs on both sides (using the curl bar), lifted it straight up, and the weight plate to the far right fell off. I then went to set it back in place, and the far left weight plate fell off before I could set it back down. I got everything set back in right in the stand and tried the straight bar. The same result happened, the far right weight plate fell off then the left. I set it all back in order in the stand, looked everything over then went through the owner’s manual again to ensure I didn’t miss anything. I confirmed everything was set up and adjusted properly. So, I searched online to see if this was a common problem and found several news stories saying this was recalled for this problem, and that buyers should call Bowflex’s parent company Nautilus directly for the kit to fix the issue. Once I called and got in touch with this Nautilus rep., he first confirmed that my unit had not been a recalled unit or it had already been updated with the fix, as the little spring-loaded plastic tab at the center of the bar that goes through the weight plates was white, and the recalled ones were black. He then went on to tell me, as mentioned above, that their quality control is not good and my unit or possibly the 40lb upgrade could be defective. He gave me some trouble shooting instructions to go through each weight setting progression and lift up a couple of inches at each setting to see if other settings have issues. This hurt my back a bit doing so, but I did follow his advice and went through the progressions. The problem only occurred at settings 110lbs and 120lbs on both the curl bar and straight bar. He recommended returning it all and (to paraphrase) he talked rather negatively about selectable/adjustable weight products in general. Other consumers should be aware that a Nautilus company rep. admitted that they have poor quality control, and even after recalling the product for this exact reason, the problem still exists. I had to re-box all of this heavy equipment and take it to a UPS drop off location myself to return it all. This has been a discouraging and bad experience from a company (Nautilus / Bowflex) I once regarded as the best at what they do.

I love it
I love this piece of equipment, it’s really added a lot to my work outs and combined with the ST 1090 dumbbells there’s very little other equipment I feel I’m missing from a gym.The bars feel good in your hands and it’s relatively easy to re-rack, though getting the spacing right for the stand was a bit of a pain.I bought the 40lb upgrade too, so it’ll be a while before I max out my weights. I do wish it went higher than 120lbs (with upgrade) but I understand why.Definitely recommend if you’re looking to expand your home gym for anyone who’s not a power lifter/advanced lifter who needs more weight.

Flexibles Langhantelsystem, sehr gut verarbeitet
Beim Einstellen klappert nix; Verarbeitung IMHO sehr gut. Preis- Leistung muss jeder selber beurteilen, deshalb vergebe ich da keine Sterne. Ich selber bin sehr zufrieden. Preiswert, aber nicht billig!

Almost perfect for home use.
I'm satisfied with this product. Everything feels high quality and everything is there to give me a good workout at home. Yes it's pricy, however it's built to last and gives you versatility for home workouts. Some of us would rather avoid packed gyms at this time.To truly optimize this equipment, I would recommended buying the stand as well as the additional 40lb add on weights. It comes at an additional cost but it's a great set that doesn't keep you bending over to the ground to pick up your bar and weights everytime. Also this will take your available weight to 120 from 80 lbs.I give the product 4/5 stars, the only reason it doesn't get a 5th star is that docking the weights after use back on the weight rack sometimes isn't a simple drop and your done. You have to push the weights down to have them click back into place on one side (even after precision adjustments of the weight holder to the rack). It's a decent push click and that may turn some people off.Overall, I rate the product highly despite a hiccup with putting the weights back on the rack.
