Still going strong
I've had this set for months now and it gets used daily. I like the smaller size due to limited counter space and has only the knives I use routinely. I especially like the cleanliness of the holder, it is dishwasher safe. My old wood butcher block knife set was a pain to keep clean and took up a lot of room. The knives are still sharp after heavy daily use.

A great set of chopping knives without taking up much space in the kitchen
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased these as a gift for my son who is setting up his first apartment after leaving the nest. He moved into a nice apartment with his best mate without a stick of furniture and two mugs for coffee. This was a great set of knives as it doesn't take up as much space in his tiny kitchen as a other knife sets in a block. He thought the black was "Cool, mom." I wanted this set because it also had the main chopping and paring knives that he would need for his modest cooking skills, and a great set of scissors because everyone needs at least one great set of scissors.
