The plastic sealed lid keeps food fresh and are a great idea but christmas puddings need a foil lid for steaming

Fab basin, perfect for a steamed pudding for 4-6 people (could do more for a smaller portion). I have only used it for water steaming and not microwaving. But can also be used there too! The lid is handy for storing the pudding after it has chilled. Washes fine too.

The bowls are great although I didn't realise that the lids cannot be on the bowls if you are steaming the contents. If I knew that I possibly wouldn't have bought the bowl with the lid, although the air tight lid is handy for afterwards.

Lovely well made and the lid is easy to use (keeps food longer). It's a sort of very generous size for one person or one and a half people so a little smaller than I expected but still love it and would recommend

Good old Mason Cash does it again. Traditional styling, a sturdy pudding bowl that will last for years. Needed to steam my home made Christmas pudding this year, but will be used for many other cooking journeys. You can't beat quality. Holds a good 4 portions of pudding.

The bowl is fine but what is the point of having a lid you can’t use for steaming? Don’t waste your money on this steaming bowl with a lid that can’t be used for steaming. Unless you want a bowl and just a bowl.

It holds just under 1 litre. The lid is a nice addition, but not required for my use. It's very good quality. The price seems to change significantly though, so make sure you're not over spending

Perfect size for a steamed pudding, and the lip of the bowl hold the string tie in place beautifully. It's a proper little pudding basin. Highly recommend it.

Le facteur m’a tendu le colis apparemment intact, l’ayant ouvert, l'emballage était sommaire, un seul morceau de papier ne protégeant rien. L’un des bols s’est avéré cassé et donc j’ai entrepris de le renvoyer et d’en commander un autre en remplacement. Surprise, il est plus cher !

i puchased for making dessert puddings, it was smaller than i expected but was the right size for my recipes. Its good that it comes with a lid, so with the leftovers of my dessert i have a cover. Besides making puddings, it can be used as a mixing or storage bowl & looks quite cute
