Candy is brittle, not soft as usual.
I love this candy, however this order was very brittle and not soft-they snap right in half- not sure if they are old or not.

Paper melted into Caramel
Update: Do not buy this bulk product. Spend a little more on the boxed version, it’s worth it. I’ve purchased both and should have known better the second time I bought bulk. About 70% of the bulk pieces have gotten hot and melted to some degree, making them nearly impossible to unwrap. The wax paper sticks to the caramel, and peeling it off sends tiny shards and chunks of caramel everywhere. If you’re not on a flat surface like a countertop or desk, those pieces fall onto your carpet, clothes, bedding, furniture, etc. Then they soften, melt, or get sticky, creating an even bigger mess that’s hard to clean up. I have bought these in the box and the bag in the past. I tried to economize once again with the bulk as opposed to the box. I should have known better. They come melted into the wrapper and you cannot get the wrapper off. I would not buy these again ever, but I will buy the ones in the box.
