Palmer Audio Interface (PDI09)

I use this between my tube amp head and cabinet, as a takeoff point in a wet/dry/wet rig with a TC Electronics G-System and a separate stereo tube power amp into two more cabinets. The tone is impeccable, build quality is solid, no complaints!

This is great. I play at a church where don't currently use guitar amps for live sound but I want to have that tube amp sound.So, my remedy is this: I have a Carls Custom Speaker Soak (8 ohm tube amp speaker attenuator) and this Palmer PDI 09 The Junction. I have my amp signal go out to the Palmer and the thru goes out into the input of my speaker attenuator and the out of the attenuator plugs into the speaker of my amp (Blues Jr). I turn the attenuator all the way down (only a slight, slight sound comes out of the spaker then) but I can crank my master volume and gain up as high as I want to get the overdriven tone sent to the mixer that I want.The PDI-09 has an XLR out that goes to the mixer. So not only is this a direct box (but it only works with your amp, not really for plugging a guitar and pedals into, its designed to come from amps) but the filters inside simulate speakers to give a more realistic line level signal sent to the mixer. I use it on the bright setting and like it a lot.I have the attenuation set to default (whichever is the lowest, blanking on that right now) because the signal was way too hot going to my mixer any other way.Enjoy this! It is affordable and helps you get a great tone out of a PA mixer!

Bought the Palmer DI because I was wanting some tone shaping possibilities when going direct to the board from my Nomad 55 amp. Seemed to be just what I needed. The bright setting seems to add just the amount of high end I was looking for. Great tool for my purposes.

This is a must have for me. I hate trying to set up a microphone to record or when playing live. This makes all that go away. You just run directly into your sound board and you are off. With this you can recreate the same sound no matter where you go. It is a very easy setup and very easy to use. I have had sound guys come up to me and say they really liked they way it sounded and commented on how easy it was to mix in the front. For me and what I do this is a must.

Building a home recording studio, I asked a friend what to use since I wasn't happy with micing my amp. Since he's an assistant mgr. and audio pro at a leading musical instrument store, I didn't hesitate when he recommended this piece. I am VERY happy with it. I play through my effects board and amp, split the signal to the mixer and a monitor (dual outputs), and away we go. Check out the videos on YouTube.

Does exactly what it says and sounds great through a PA....extremely pleased with this product and its operation...will purchase more

Se non si ha la possibilità di microfonare un ampli valvolare in casa o anche dal vivo è il giusto compromesso per avere un ottimo suono di chitarra sia in registrazione che live. Le tre modalità permettono di scegliere tra un suono vintage (mellow), moderno (normal) o più aggressivo sulle altre frequenze (bright). Il risultato in registrazione è più che buono, permette di eliminare gli amp simulator dai plugin, restituendo un suono molto vicino a quello naturale di una cassa.Arrivato puntuale. Ottimo acquisto. Consigliato ai chitarristi che vogliono registrare senza dover buttare giù i muri di casa per far suonare una cassa decentemente...Sui valvolari è comunque necessario collegare la cassa o usare una load box per non rovinare l'amplificatore.

Ya conocía el producto y no me ha defraudado en absoluto.Si quieres poder llevar tu amplificador directamente a mesa para grabarlo sin tener que microfonearlo, sencillamente es perfecto, no tiene perdida de señal y puedes incluso atenuar la salida si es necesario.Lo volvería a comprar sin duda.

Die kleine macht genau was sie soll, einen guten Sound ohne Mikrofonrumschieberei bereitstellen.Die Schaltstellungen "Mellow" und "Bright" empfinde ich als überflüssig, das Kistchen klingt in "Normal" mehr als gut und die anderen Modeswirken irgendwie nicht rund..Natürlich bekommt man mit sehr teuren Mikrofonen, Boxen und mehrstündigem Aufwand einen signifikant besseren Sound zusammengebastelt, aber werhat schon eine Armada gewillter Tontechniker allzeit im Gigbag?Fazit, sehr emfehlenswert für:die schnelle Aufnahme im Proberaum,einen vernünftigen Bühnensound ohne grossen Aufwand,das Erzeugen eines ausgewogenen CABsounds hinter digitalen AmpsimulationenPalmer hat zur Zeit sehr interessante Gerätschaften zu erschwinglichen Preisen am Start...anchecken lohnt sich..P.s.: Ich bin reiner Hobbymusiker und kriege kein Geld von denen....:-)
